Hello all. A bit about me: I'm Canadian. Enough said.

Canadian mannerism are ingrained in me, so you can expect dry humour, polite questions and plenty of "eh's" in my posts.

Shout out to all my Canadians brothers who've fallen victim to Harry Rosen's MTM program.

We've got 3 Canadians already so the place has long since gone to hell in a handbasket.

Out of curiosity, where did you find out about us.

Yes, welcome to DressedWell.

I bought a second-hand Ermenegildo Zegna for Harry Rosen MTM suit from eBay for about $100 a number of years back. It was actually very nice, but I hate to think how much it would have cost when it was new. I ended up selling it again as it was winter-weight and so, being in Australia, I hardly ever wore it.

No fun if you can't wear winter weight!

Have you made your first Formosa purchase then?
The reviews that I've read on this forum have not been very positive so far. I'm sure my opinion would change if I were basing it solely on SF reviews, but then again that's were doing your due diligence really pays off.

Well Noodles is clueless about tailoring and Newcomer's a hunchback so we haven't really seen what properly sized Formosa looks like front and back on a person who can stand straight. Burlsquirrel posts with his arms forward so hard to judge Formosa sleeves there either.

......SF poster ........ connoisseur .........

:ahahahaha:

You are not in Australia - you are in Queensland*.

We certainly have winter in the civilized parts of this country.

*For those in USA - Queensland is just like backwoods Florida but without the intellectual and cultural sophistication

How can we be sure you are not a sock?

Bet his MTM is expensive too.

Varies from the entry-level Coppley & Samuelsohn, which is a decent value. Goes upward from the thru Armani, Canali, Zegna, Isaia & Kiton which are all overpriced. They offer bespoke starting at $3K which - depending on the quality - might represent a better value for the $

MTM is offered for Armani & Canali? I think they have it under their "made to order" category which doesn't have the same options and their MTM. Isaia & Kiton are only offered at their Bloor street location.

Will depend on the location but yes both are MTM. Canali MTM is even available in Winnipeg (Harry Rosen, Vittorio Rossi) as well as various Holt locations, Henry Singer in Calgary, blah, blah, blah

Too bad they don't have much in the prairies! Canali only had MTO back when I got my MTM Samuelsons. This must be new in the last 3-5 years.

Might be. Don't pay too much attention to HR. Saskatoon people are too cheap for anything above Coppley MTM or RTW Hugo Boss. Elwood Flynn used to do Samuelsohn but couldn't justify keeping the line and even stopped doing MTM trunk shows.
