Is It Truly Possible To Get Bespoke Shoes, Or Anything For That Matter, Over The Internet?

I dunno whats wrong with your snarkometer??? emptym timed me out for less and he refuses to remove this post.

frommer is a piece of work. dieworkwear, are you serious? dude is clueless about so many things and he avoids conflicts like the devil avoids holy water. no offense, I have no clue how dieworkwear got in the sf circle and how he climbed the ladder that fast with his eminent lack of basic knowledge. agreed, that his diplomatic skill can be useful, though.

certainly theres a party code out. you nailed it.

Surprised to hear about emptym timing you out. He's been pretty reasonable and helpful in getting Fok to allow us reposting the concerns about Gianni. Why did Emptym time you out?

Do I understand correctly that you requested removal of the watch-cuff picture? Any reason to do so, or just enjoy being a pita?

Our sense of humor keeps us divided W walker . My comment about dieworkwear was made in jest. I fully agree he's pretty much a nitwit. And he's definitely a wimp. Tells you a lot really that he is considered an authority by most posters, if you look at the responses to his posts in Gianni's AV thread. Same goes for unbelcazzo (and several others). There seems to be a strong bias towards Emereken "experts" across the forum as a whole, which may of course be due to the fact that in the end it is an Emereken forum and most members are Emerekens. I also think Emerekens generally are more likely to accept the opinion of a fellow Emereken, than to actually listen and try to understand someone overseas who may have much more knowledge on the subject. Of course there are also exceptions to this rule.

fwiw, I don't care about your stupid GC rant. don't need to exaggerate about this. I've forgotten why he timed me out. something along the lines of ignoring the party code. he is a fwocking brown noser with a flexible back bone.

there are other things. trust me. no need to exaggerate about this also.

I totally concur what you said about the emerekens and the matrix on sf. very few exceptions, very few.

DWFII is indeed a piece of work. I like how you can push his buttons though and he comes through with his standard repertoire. I had so much fun when Aleksei was still around http://www.styleforum.net/t/251332/riccardo-bestetti-bespoke-projects/1050_30#post_7170846

:LOLguy:

his reputation among fellow bootmakers is pretty low. "we" did a research on this. theres a shitful of things, where I had a complete different experience over the the years, that have been stated and vigorously defended by him. go figure.

Sure, whatever. I don't get what you mean by exaggeration though.

What was offensive about this link? Or is this guy "sdolina" also a shill? I don't remember ever reading one of his posts before.

He's kind of a onemanband I guess. Talks a lot to himself. No one to contradict him. Shows from his complacent posts.

Very #menswear indeed. Only a matter of time before he joins the NMWA crew.
I read that thread the other day for a few pages and its becoming very Epaulet-esque. Some shitty looking fits, and just generally odd clothing choices, all under the guise of the new cult.

What was offensive about this link?

well, you quoted another link.

you asked me about emptym and I linked to sdolinas' shoes, which do not belong in this particular AH thread. I reported this fact to emptym with no avail. emptym is the guardian angel for Frommer and he encouraged people to try his long distance service. surprise, that glenjay now purveyor of the magic glen karen shoe care, which is promoted by patrick booth, was the first follower on the Frommer path. what else, do you want to know?

I'm lost as to soldina/AH thread? He mentioned upcomming NY trunk show of AH shoe maker there. That's not allowed?

Thanks for pointing out matrix.

I'm talking about post #1279 on the last page.

You linked to post #1275. Anyway still don't understand. This is post #1279:

"
#1279 of 1290
3/10/14
sdolina

Have got my seamless wholecuts from Maftei (Alexandro), really pleased with the result."

Can you explain why it should be deleted? These are shoes by an AH shoe maker, right?

I didn't link to #1275, anyway.

what's the title of the thread? do they resemble a traditional style? what did we say in the vass thread about shifting?

it doesn't matter who made them.

Granted I haven't read the whole thread, but the OP simply seems to suggest it is a thread dedicated to shoes made by AH makers. I see no mention that it is only for AH shoes on a patato shaped lasts.

Ps. You did link to post #1275. Look at the link!!!

granted, I haven't followed. afaik, they offer various kinds of long-distance bespoke/mtm orders for their suits and jackets.

They don't look as though they fit particularly well. I know that all shoes will crease (and that some SF members have a bit of an obsession with no creasing, which is ridiculous), but those shoes show a lot of obvious creasing for shoes that are essentially brand new.

On a side note, without wanting to sound too snarky, whilst wurger seems like a nice guy, he seems to have gone a bit crazy with shoe purchasing. I could be wrong but over the space of six months or less, he seemed to go from having a couple of pairs of Loakes to having a wardrobe full of Vass, John Lobb Paris, Sargent, Edward Green and numerous other mid- and high-level shoe brands. If his photos on SF are a reasonable representation, he seemed to be getting a pair every couple of weeks.

They don't look as though they fit particularly well.

he lacks of basic knowledge hence he wasn't capable to address his requirements to the shoemaker. a typical igent phenomen. no one else now has to live with a 1,7k € trainwreck. what a loser..., lulz
