They were criminally underrated. Everything about this video is awesome.

A great band. i wore out my cassettes of Around the World with Three Dog Night. great singers when they were getting along. saw them several times when I was a kid and then saw them at a county fair after they had broken up and then re-formed. amazing show. not sure if people wrote specifically for them or they were just good at selecting tunes but they recorded songs written by some of the best songsmiths of the 70's - Hoyt Axton, Laura Nyro, Paul Williams, Russ Ballard, Randy Newman, Dave Loggins. That is a who's who of songwriters.
