Parklife was very disjointed. Along with the singles, Jubilee stood out for me. But the rest was just filler and a little bit contrived.Blurred history | Sarah Ditum | The Critic Magazine

It was s hit on the Northern Soul scene. Manchester and then Blackpool and Wigan.Just listened to it on a Soul Compilation. Didn’t realise her version wasn’t originally big in UK.

But wasn’t that much after her 64 release? It was s hit on the Northern Soul scene. Manchester and then Blackpool and Wigan.
Yes. Late 60s.But wasn’t that much after her 64 release?
But on second thoughts that particular record may not have been played on "the scene ' as it had been a hit. The Wheel sound by her I recall the clearest was 'It"s getting mighty crowded. ' We were very much music big daddies and it was all about exclusivity.Yes. Late 60s.

She seems to be happy enough and pretty good at dancing. She is not doing any gymnastics but then she does not have to dance in her P.E. kit either.I am afraid the Northern Soul Girl would have been told to confine herself to Girls'Convent discos.

THE SPARKS BROTHERS Trailer is out
Directed by @EdgarWright
The film is released in cinemas on 30th July in UK & Ireland and 18th June in the US
It really doesn’t matter if you don’t know the band - the film is as much an introduction as a celebration. If you were a fan already, great. If you’ve NEVER HEARD OF THEM - even better!
