MY DREAMS ABOUT COMMISSIONING DAVID REEVES BESPOKE

i didnt hear about WeakMonday complaining when i pointed out what he did to her knees. but this actually brings up an interesting question

WHY WOULD YOU POST PICTURES OF YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER ON DW? (UNLESS MAYBE YOU ARE A DIRTY GAY AND HAVE A REALLY WELL DRESSED SIGNIFICANT OTHER, BUT I WOULD BE SURPRISED IF robertito robertito 's PARTNER WOULD BE VERY WELL DRESSED)
I don't understand why you are mentioning me here? Is part of your regular trolling????

Anyhow I would prefer to see pics of Cocksakie's missus (she is not bad) than the pictures of the car and twins of the mcobonaid of whatever his name is.

I would never buy a suit from David Reeves as his despise his internet personality. it is a big tosser.

He just posted some pics of new trial Cleverley that were gemmed and when questioned why he removed the pics. Luckily a nice soul uploaded them again.

Also what he did to the bloke he sold all those MTM suits was appalling. .

I like his house style. Some things personally about him I do not care for. Some colors I do not like but his structured British feel with a hint of classic Italian Charm, I do like. Also, I collect suits for a hobby. I'd like to get a Despos and a Reeves in my collection this year.

Finally I started seeing a resurgence in pinstripes and larger stripes amongst CEOs and bankers. Its interesting to see these cloths come back to the business world and at first it seems in contrast to the tweed phenomenon at least if we look at suits and cloths using their traditional signifiers. What we are seeing is a general trend across all fields towards nostalgia but with a need to be seen as dynamic and above all successful individuals in uncertain and changing times. This attitude is pushing out the “timeless” “four season” plain navy or charcoal suit which is all about staying still and anonymity.

Bankers need to ease up off my pinstripes. Next thing you know some asshole will be like "you can't wear that to a wedding" or some shit.

You're clearly not surrounded by the leading egde there doghouse doghouse . Cause the leading edge are past now very dated ideas about “appropriate” for town, country, business, weddings or pleasure. It doesn’t matter if you are wearing H Lesser Chalk Stripes or Harris Tweed as long as your tailoring is of the best quality and you look great wearing it.

No, no, you misunderstand sir. I worried about the leading edge going back to appropriateness. I like the wild west environment we currently enjoy.

Quite Reevsian.

If you were not Dutch you would make a great English Tailor in NYC

No need to worry. Anything goes these days. The color of choice for this fall was the ever popular ink blue or French navy blue that we have been seeing in menswear for quite some time although the blues are getting even lighter. The big surprise was the second color that was pushed by Loro Piana especially, namely burgundy or claret. Silhouettes continued to lengthen and lapels got wider as stylistically I am feeling more and more a trend towards the late 70s and early 80s as an influence on fashion, art and design.

But where does it end?

Personally, I am a fan not for nostalgia but for its real relevance today. A tweed sport coat is such an extremely useful garment and a real wise investment piece for any man (or woman)

Fuck yeah it is. 99% of what I wear in the winter.

sorry to hear that man! thats very sad news

She's pretty torn up about it. Not the first time and we've been trying for awhile.

Anyway, I've seen some reeves that I really like and some that I'm really unhappy with. His mtm was very bad. Which mtm is hard and it's own game. His bespoke looks decent for the most part. Some really good a lot really lack luster. Despos does a better job, his suits are just lifeless in shape and expression. I'm not sure who else to look for in the US. I haven't done much research with my business and personal life taking the majority of my effort and monies.
