That :whathaveyoudone: feel stringing up a fresh set, and then the high-E keeps losing pitch, and you keep tightening it, and it pops w/o any significant play.

What's your strat? AmDlx w/ lace sensors?

American Standard Plus. ~1994 IIRC. Had gold lace sensors, but I replaced them with red, silver, blue combo. In a very unique reverse blueburst metallic.

Not mine obviously with the maple fretboard, but this shows the paint job pretty well.

I saw that reverse style burst done from gray-to-charcoal-to-black on a used Strat Plus at guitar center a year ago. Good looking piece.

Nice, don't think I have seen it in black. That sounds pretty badass. I saw a metallic green one once too.

So I googled that, apparently it's called Black Pearl Dust, and mine is called Blue Pearl Dust. I swear it was Blue Burst Metallic on the label when I got it though.

Edit: I think it's actually Blue Pearl Burst, which sounds right.

I would avoid buying Steam Whistle just on principle.

Any link to your music doghouse doghouse ?
I did have some in a drop box for awhile, have to log into and old google account to see if it's still there. I'm sure there is some out in the wild somewhere but I'll be damned if I know where to look anymore. If you or anyone is interested I'll try and upload some when I get a few minutes.

I would be. Does your band have any originals or mainly covers?

That blue burst looks amazing. Just watch out for accidental scratches.

When we get together these days we will play some covers just so some of the other guys who jam have something to play, but I've only done originals my whole life. I honestly know like 5 covers, just to jam on with these dudes. The only guy left from back when I was a serious musician is the drummer, who just so happens to be in the pic above. Our other guitarist is in NYC, and the Bassist is just out of the game, though he is threatening to come play some since he is going through a divorce. That lineup was like fifteen plus years ago mind you, though we did have a little revival in the early 2000's when I came back from California with the drummer, bassist, me, and a different rhythym guitar player and a singer. The band before all that broke up in high school, we did all originals too, the other guitarist from that band is still here in town gigging in cover bands, bassist is around doing something or other, and I haven't the foggiest what happened to the drummer. I may have some live tapes from that band too, I think I lost the studio recording we did.

Re:scratches, tell me about it. Pick scratches are a pain in this color. Plus my snowboard fell on it like a week after I got back in the day and put a huge ding in it. In the picture above it is barely visible right under the shirt button that is shining bright right over the guitar.
