yea i like burgundy a lot. these are probably my least favorite pair of shoes...the one of just the shoes is old and you can tell ive been experimenting with polishes and creams. ive been using saphir brown cream, saphir neutral polish and then a final light layer of AE's merlot for the past two months. i kinda like how theyve become more brown rather than purple.

The patterns do look similar. But I have a feeling the cloths are quite different. Mine is a twisted six ply worsted, very rough, stiff and dry, made in Scotland, intended for suiting (pants, vests, sporting attire) with no nap. Almost brittle. Here is a slightly better pic of the cloth prior to being made :
