I was channelling something akin to this:

But reinterpreted for the modern internationally diverse and male patriarch free organisation that one daren't be left alone with one of the female interns by the coffee machine, lest they try to do you over on the sexual harrassment ticket.

Wow Tenpole Tudor. That is a throwback

I quite like the old man look of a big collar and crew neck
Pull the crew up higher to hide most of the collar at front - then you'll be truckin'. Don't worry about the Wannabee Coodabeens here.

Sick to death of seeing those fuckin CP sneakers all over the Internet. Have they not reached saturation point and started a backlash against them yet? It’s long overdue.

Coat is actually a Stephan Schneider Conservation. Sweater is Howlin'. Pants are Epaulet Walts (I find there to be a very fine line between some contemporary streetwear and CM stuff). And CPs.

I wanted to get a conservation coat last season, but I can never nail down my size with Schneider pieces. The sleeves are cut just a bit too long for my arms. There was a wine color iteration on Suspension Point, I was too afraid to buy since I wouldn't be able to return.

very summery buckley! trying to fight the rain and grey skies?

The jacket is more golden autumn in reality and is Gieves & Hawkes fully-lined. Not quite winter fodder. The shirt is blue, not the lilac in the photo. I think the gold and the orange threw the accuracy of the mobile camera lens.

Love the crease on those flannels. I'm receiving three pairs of flannels from Cerrato next week (from the current Minnis English Flannels range) I just hope the crease on mines will be as good as on yours.

What jacketing is that? I looks like shetland.

thanks. these are the guabello flannels i ordered recently

jacketing is english milled deadstock alpaca blend i bought years ago. the neapolitans will tell you there is just one length remaining in japan

There is no way that a Neapolitan un-tailor wont fuck up what you ordered from them. What dont you try Benet Pluvinet that is next door to you (actually Tarragona) or one of the Barcelona tailors (Arnau Aguilar comes to mind) he is based in La Barceloneta if I am remember correctly.

Or have the creases pressed

Have you tried them?

I don't like what I've seen from them (admittedly very few things).

At some point I'd like to try Blasi and Santa Eulalia, but not yet.

Cerrato has nailed the fit from the first time, and after this order I'll have 7 pairs made by him. Luckily I ordered my first pair before Salmon did his shill, so I'm getting quite fair prices.

32C this afternoon. Meeting. Baird McNutt Irish Linen shirt, Cotton trousers, Don't You Step On My Blue Suede Shoes.

Off to see our socialist chums, was going to sport a red tie in solidarity, but then I thought better of it, as I assume several of them will be having doubts at this stage.

Shirt needs a full windsor, but the tie can only take a half one, probably about right as I've gone half in town and half country:

Interesting collection...

What kind of ensembles do you wear with these #atUglyTies...?

Very important ensembles. Except for the summer colored ties: db or sb 3pc dry and matte English 13 to 16 oz worsted cloth, original Reid and Taylor twist, dormeuil sportex, or the occasional tweed.

That's an untidy socialist knot. No shirt needs a full Windsor!

With respect - old imperialist chum - I'd suggest you try what I call The USA Newsreader Knot but others call The Pratt. It fills that gap between the Half Nelson and the Full Nelson - plus it stays done up .
