What Are You Wearing Today?

I think its a good thing that Buckers has got his own thang goin' on. Its not to my taste (which is of course exquisitely refined), but that's a good thing too. We don't need no dress by numbers.

His rigz allows him to move against his enemies (imagined or otherwise)...

...with force...!!!!

Leaving snark aside, do you guys actually like the tie? I almost exclusively wear neats, but thought it could go with the tweeds. For 2 euros anyways...

i mean, for 2 euro i wouldn't rush to throw in onto the fire for warmth, but it wouldn't be my first choice when suiting up.

FriendCustomer is the Foo? Can't be, no FooPuff™ to be seen on fit pics.

I do have an affection for the affectation that is wearing unbuttoned button-down collars.
Never understood that "spazzatura" move, it's like going around in unbuttoned jacket cuffs. Unbuttoned sleeve cuffs in summer? Sure. Not a fan of the tie, knot seems tight and small, the best.

I like them, the small and tight knots. Not liking the square, and I don't mind the unbuttoned collar.

Shirt uninspiring.
Square in the trash.
Keep giacca but sub with different tie.
Keep the hooves for more casual attire.

That is one gruesome shirt and tie combo.

Are you colorblind?

A liberal dose of saturated ''gruesome'' Tecnicolor in bold and primary colours, trumps the staid and boring any day.

One would hate to be mistaken for a man who gets his gear at C&A or an office clerk in some dreadful government department.

he's an unhinged brit expat in the shady business of oil. While his dress is not perfect its close enough and it gets his message across. One might find this man in Hong Kong's Foreign Correspondents’ Club, Rhodesia, with the happy valley set in Kenya, in the British Zone of Occupation in Berlin, in the Suez Canal zone, on the lam with the likes of lord lucan and ronnie biggs or etc...

It's the spirit of mad dogs and Englishmen and it's just turned noon half past monsoon on the banks of the river Nile. The archetypal eccentric Englishman abroad is essential to understand our psyche: one likes to travel, engage with exotic cultures and yet, emerge strangely unchanged by it all with sangfroid intact.

The 'problem' I have with this rig, besides the obvious affectation, is that, as I scan from left to right, then from right to left my eyes don't stop on anything, the items just blend into one another, there's little visual interest.

Try again.

Thank you.

Yes, it's too obviously matched, there's no contrast to spark engagement. If you wanted to blend into the background, this would be a good way to hide.

These are some seriously ugly brogues, Tim Little for Gieves & Hawkes from way back in the day:

Got me flat cap from Lock & Co and dry wax Steve McQueen Barbour ready too.

All I need now is a sonic screwdriver, one never can be quite sure what one will stumble across down there. Especially in the do not destroy/issue to the public domain for 50 years section. The shred with extreme prejudice is ghastly too: long thought forgotten photos from Christmas parties past, invoices from whores on the company pay cheque, expensive bespoke software initiatives all gone wrong, over ordered stuff that it was deemed better to make disappear, Rod Serling recording an episode of The Twilight Zone...

i need a few new ties, but in the meantime digging into my old ones i dont wear much anymore...ive never been able to get a good dimple/knot on this tie, has always bugged me
