Why Are You Pissed Off Today?

I mean... c'mon.

(We've moved to the map room)

Do they smell like dog piss or human piss?

Picture of me 12.webp

It's dog piss, probably their own, there isn't a man walking this earth that has the guts or the reason to piss on one of my dogs. They may look passive now but when they wake up they are vicious, angry, antagonistic little fuckers. I love them so much.

the bike trails that we use are maintained by the people that live there, and us bikers help out by keeping it clean and policing ourselves. what riles me up is once in a while there would be trail running events, and the corporate assholes would always tag their stupid race with a "run for nature" cause or something like that. and I swear everytime these fuckers go in and do their share for nature awareness shit, we see tons of plastic water bottles, energy gel packs and other food wrappers all over. and the organizers don't even bother cleaning up after them or telling them to don't fucking make a mess.

Back when, littering was not thought of as, well, littering. Aged 7. I ate a Snickers that I would get every week when moms went to buy groceries. Like any respectable kid, I finished it, licked on my fingers and casually threw the wrapper out the window at a stop light -pfff, obviously.

So this animal comes at me from a car behind us. I didn't see him. This beast picks up the wrapper and tosses it back into my car window and says "that's not a trashcan", the motherfucker. I never saw that terrorist again.*

I like to think he's been watching you ever since... and will pass the charge to his children.

It's likely. The monster was gone in a flash, we never made eye contact. My cheap parent's car didn't have a passenger side mirror so I couldn't see if he followed. I didn't want to risk turning around to look.

Reminds me of this scene from Mad Men (forward to 1:30)...

I haven't been to sleep before 8am in 5 days. Something is awry.

Serious post: If you can't fall asleep after 15 minutes get out of bed. Doesn't matter what you go do, just get out of bed. I've been struggling with acute insomnia for years, seen several specialists and done 6 observed sleep studies. Your bed should only be used for sleeping and fucking. If you can't fall asleep in a timely fashion you'll start to associate your bed with the anxiety and frustration of being unable to sleep, exacerbating the problem. I used to have about 15 days a year that lasted 96 hours each. Those were interspersed with countless lesser occasions but that was the worst. It will absolutely ruin your life.

I wish. At least then I'd have a few good stories.

It's called "running a web forum". Everyone I know who does this has a similar affliction. Also, you are probably going to drink a lot.

Maybe J and I can start a support group

Oh, I deal with it as well. I'm not even getting tired. And that's AFTER taking an ambien. Something's up.

Went to bed at 5:30. Up at 6:30 and my heart is racing. Took an ambien at 12. I don't think these are Ambiens. All this shit started when I started with these new pills

Was about to post that. Shame. Loved that man's work. Best mob boss ever.

Going to watch Get Shorty again, it was the first thing I ever saw him in.

ambien at 12.

I'm taking Trazodone now. The other night I woke up at 3:30 am hunting octopus by flashlight with a bunch of Cambodian immigrants at low tide. I mean, that's a little early to wake up but I felt like it was solid sleep. Ambien didn't do shit for me but I can't say enough good things about Trazodone. There's just that moment, when you abduct a Giant Pacific octopus out of the pitch black Salish Sea and you lock eyes with it... neither having any idea what the fuck is going on.

Are you eating my fucking spirit animal?

We have, on more than one occasion, had face to face conversations on how incredibly long I've been a vegetarian. Also, the Giant Pacific is your spirit animal? You remember that guy last year that was diving off Alki and dragged one onto the beach and then punched it to death in front of a bunch of people?

Vegetarians don't eat giant pacific octopus? So many fucking rules...

And yes, I remember that guy. I am somewhat torn by that. See, I respect the challenge of single combat.

Speaking of the northwest, I finally went to the Filson outlet in Burlington (i.e. the only one in existence and only their 4th store). It is definitely an 'outlet' rather than a 'factory outlet'. It is amazing, they had super cheap prices ($20-$140 for pretty much everything), the craftsmanship was exactly what I would expect from the Filson on 4th in SoDo, YKK zippers, all the bags, tons of stuff from their collaborations with Levi's, Sebago, Vans, and a few Japanese and European brands, two full racks of vintage at the back... it's a small store, maybe the size of Blackbird in Ballard but I could come out of there with a vest, light jacket and some other shit for less than a hundo.

Srs? That's fucking awesome. Might have to have you keep an eye out for a few things.

Yeah, I'm cereal. Taking pictures and measurements for people, waiting for them to respond, then going back to purchase (hoping the item is still there) could be a pain in the ass though. That's why I didn't post this in the clothing section of your forum. Let me know what you're looking for anyway. They had stacks and stacks of the Filson x Levi's duck cloth pants, Filson Red Label, Filson Black Label, Filson x Nanamica, etc. I was impressed. I'm just used to everything at an outlet mall being made to lower quality than the Gap or H&M for unwitting label shoppers.

I really liked these though:

$299 at UNIONMADE in San Francisco... $39.

God damn that's sexy. Pick me up one if you see it in XL. And take some pics next time!

1 USD = $13.52 pesos. Fuck that shit. Not buying anything until the price goes down a lot. I remember when it was at $10.00, then all of the sudden POW! everything is 30% more expensive.

Yeap. A few weeks ago it was very good, around $12 pesos but don't know what's happening right now.

The city of Calgary is under a state of emergency one of our rivers has yet to crest and at this time 22 neighborhoods are under mandatory evacuation orders. I've lived here for most of my life and I have never seen anything like this.
