Armoury dude

Dark colours work very well for him. The 3-piece also allows for the jacket to be open which goves him a nicer shape. I am ambivalent about his hat

Don needs to forget the no break / high-water look and lose the cuffs and get bit more taper on those strides. Throw in a dark tie and toss the hat and he'd look great. He does alright though. Compared to a lot of forum mites he looks OK most of the time and better than 95.6% of blokes in real life. Unless Austrians are outliers compared to other countries.

Monkeyface already replied the first part.

What shape would be more suited for his face?

I was referring to the brim of his hat being wonky and the crown indentations being ill-defined. Especially with the formalness of a waistcoat, his hat should reflect that as well.

I have never felt the need to wear a hat with a suit under the sun.

Please don't call him Austrian.

Squinting will not save you from skin cancer, or looking like an 80 year old man when you're 50. Our beloved Lino is a prime example of this.

I am certain Lino uses tanning beds. When one looks at the prevalence of melanoma in males it is 23% for the head and neck, 17% for arms/hands and most interestingly 25% for legs. So then hat, long trousers and gloves are in order.

The legs is probably because of all the sockless Pitti people.

How much time do you spend in the sun while in a suit/jacket?

Though I need to remember that unlike American cities, it is possible to walk places in Europe. Christ, I hate the way most American cities are built. Always out, never up.

Though even living in Seoul, which has amazing public transportation, I was rarely out in the sun for more than a few minutes of my commute. But that could be a product of the bus/subway system being so good that I was never working anywhere further than a 60 second walk from a station/stop

Quite a bit. I walk to and from work, so that's about 45 minutes. Then during lunchtime another 15 minutes. So that's at least an hour a day, and during the summertime another hour or two at rooftop bars, sitting at terraces, or just standing outside a pub with a pint, or doing my grocery shopping after work, or grabbing a bite to eat, random errands, going for a stroll in a park or along the Thames, etc.

During the weekends I often wear a sportcoat as well, and usually am outside for many hours a day if you add everything up. I walk everywhere or use the tube+walking, as does everyone I know. Driving/cabs will almost always be slower than tube+walking, and from September onwards the tube will run 24/7, which means cabs will be unnecessary.

Had no idea tube wasn't 24/7 before ever?

Obviously NYC's the exception but skyscrapers and modern architecture are ugly.

Nope, last one usually goes at a little past twelve. First one starts a little before six. In between that you usually end up paying 25-30 quid for a 20 minute cab ride, even with Uber, because it'll always be like 3x surge pricing. Imagine how bad it must be if you live a little further east or west and you want to go out in the centre. The difference in rent prices almost makes up for the difference in cab prices.
