I would have agreed with you 18 months ago. The recent rise of the American nazi movement has many people rethinking their liberal assumptions. It is not an immediate threat to democracy or the existing power structure - but I do think it’s a serious issue that can’t be ignored or given more room to grow.

The issue there is not that they are necessarily supporting pedo organizations, but that they're too up their own arses to realise that they're marching behind a dodgy banner. But then again, the Left has a history of these things e.g. the links between the Labour party in the UK and Pedo Information Exchange in the 1970s.

Paul Joseph Watson has humour, I haven't seen that from the Left for quite sometime. I watch Paul Joseph Watson for entertainment. And he gives it.

Antifa has no sense of fun, it is a revolutionary organisation, a fringe one at that which even Noam Chomsky has stated is part of the problem. It will ultimately find itself designated a terrorist organisation and be put down, lose steam as it has no joy, or gets stomped on in a big way. All those are possibilities.

Whilst it's public persona is one of Nazi resistance movement and seeks to legitimize itself with comparisons to the Greatest Generation, the rest of us see masked thugs and those who vandalise small businesses and use the tactics of fascism to stifle debate.

They might be on the Soros payroll, or get a free pass from the MSM, but ultimately they're not the mainstream and their anarchic socialism and communism is just a death rattle.
 
Meh. Of all the antifascists I know (mostly thriugh veterans, firearms and shooting sports groups) , about 90% are combat veterans looking for a purpose (and what better purpose than fighting fascists). Ages range up to late 50s, but most are in their 20s and thirties. A range of blue collar and white collar professionals. All really good blokes who don't want to give a platform to this new breed of rabblerousing fascists calling for genocide. They have a wonderfully dark, irreverent and direct sense of humour that I love.

Meanwhile weirdo Infowars conspiracy groups and Fox News keep peddling propaganda that it's a movement of effete Berkley kids in masks who set trash cans alight and are on a billionaire’s payroll. Pretty funny really.

Now, you could argue that fighting the rising fascist movement is, in the end, a side-show to the real power politics that goes on in DC and Wall Street. But that doesn't detract from what they do in my mind.

Here in mainland Europe, Antifa have well peaked and with the exception of some militaristic fascist style graffiti driving into Utrecht they're pretty much a spent force. They're retreating as the heat closes in on the more fringe anarchist and commie elements. I see them fading away quite quickly.
 
Fascism is on the run right now in the US, as a result many Antifa groups are demobilizing. Job well done!

Antifa is anti-fascism. Nothing more. Nothing less. No position or policy on any other issue. Non-partisan. A coalition with one single agenda: fight the rise of fascism.

that's not a fascist issue but a "religious" one. they wouldn't get involved in that. now if the nazi's start shaving swastikas in people's heads then yes, that would be a legitimate question.
