When someone is often described as an "authority on menswear" and when he refers to himself as "a trusted voice" then people will naturally scrutinise every detail and call out the poor bespoke fits. If it were anyone else, it would probably go unnoticed or no one would care.

Yes but many of the fits are years old. We’ve seen them and moved on. The few that routinely get mentioned here seem to be the focus of Verrihappy’s & Sartodi Napoli’s puerile jealousy. It’s just tiresome at this point.

I know the rules around here are loose and that’s OK to a point but any comedy value if it ever existed has jumped the shark long ago and splurting out anti-everything screeds has no place in my world.

I agree about the sunglasses, but they add some flair to an obviously fun suit. To whit:

This guy obviously doesn’t have to wear a suit; he wants to. His tastes are affiliated with the 70s, because that decade was arguably the most fun and wacky in classic menswear. So he chooses a suit along those lines. Note the pattern matching:

Lapels and pocket flaps line up well. Prettaayyy, pretttaaaayyyyy good.

The tie is nothing. Black silk knit ties can go casual or formal.

And are those patent shoes? I mean, patent or just a high shine, come on. That is a fit done well.

His pose? Ehhhh he’s no model. But a great suit nonetheless.
