It's not everyday you come across someone who's ambition is to reinvent themselves as a short sighted Italian version of Tin Tin.

Foster & Son are pretty good, I've a pair of their oxfords and damn fine they are too.

They were Lord Lucan's shoemaker and before he vanished after bludgeoning the nanny to death in a case of mistaken identity, he visited them one last time before vanishing without trace.

Who did he want to bludgeon to death?

Allegedly, his wife. Intriguing chap was Lucky, last of the old school gentleman cads. Well, until James Hewitt started bonking Princess Diana.
There's a recent book on the Lucan case I've read which is the best of the lot. I'll look up my library list and post the author etc. Was well written too.

Thanks, I will try and get that before I go/if I go on holiday next week. Might not be going if we win a juicy contract at work. All will be revealed on Tuesday.....
