ConchitaWurst ConchitaWurst what's the weight on the Bard collection? Brisa/Piuma weight?
12/13 oz. top trousering. only not at crazy ll pricing. lovat is unfortunately no longer selling it at the old fair price to overseas customers calling the mill though. at least not to me. all stock supported stuff is now gbp 100 pm as per ll. maybe its still the normal price if you get it through your tailor, but my no name italians don't carry the lovat books. lordsuperb's post over at the unfunded thread got you all hot?

Same old shit. And why is he always out in the country?

By the way, Mr. yellow hook, Rossicone. He is quite well spoken on his video.

I know he is a teacher, but the tattoos and the poor dress sense led me to expect something different.

I have not seen the tattoos and I don't know the man. But teachers deserve more respect. If he's a FT teacher, he'd still have the time to run a business I guess if he is off in the summer. That may explain how is was able to go to Japan. I wonder how much of what he spends is his own earnings and how much is of his parents/family member. Who really cares.

He might get more respect if he didn't wear jeans and work boots in the classroom.
Teachers are always whining on about not getting respect as professionals. What would you think of a doctor, lawyer, accountant, financial advisor etc who stepped from behind their desk covered in tats wearing blue jeans and work boots?
And WTF was that denim dress he was wearing? I'm still waiting for someone to explain that to me.

Uh...so he goes to work like that? I thought all teachers dressed well like Acute Style (?).
This article may shed some light? I cannot read it for fear of being infected.

I come to you as a foremost expert in tissu and what I receive is the usual DW snark.
I WAS ASKING FOR A FRIEND, OK!!!!

Please, try to be kinder to those with serious sartorial inquiries.

On the plus side, I know about a nice cloth which cannot be obtained and:

-traap, origins: Ole Dutch
noun:
- an unknown setup initiated from innocence.
- when you try to make a simple funni(single, not a 2funni) with reference thought to be understood
and this ref is then taken by receiver who Forms a TRAP(English, old/new) with it
and proceeds to BYTE said trap, himself.
- a self-created+bitten trap.

i hear Rambo asked gambit50 gambit50 to write a piece for the dw journal on pubic hairstyles

apparently with pictures of both the sugared TOGLIATTI and the hairy FriendCustomer FriendCustomer . cant tell too much though at this stage

Please, I have STANDARDS and produce only for those who pay high, COMMERCIAL rates for top insight, ie. you will see the DO YOUR PUBES LIKE.... series on STYLEFORUM(and maybe stjilforuuum). I cannot wait to do the episode with FriendCustomer FriendCustomer about using tweed undergarments and how it interacts with one's pubes.
Also, please, I don't know this TOGLIATTI from any other eyetalian charlatan so he will certainly not be in this elite level production.

He is offering a traditional look. Also rural, ye olde England, flower gardens etc.

I expect to see cricket on the village green and maidens cycling to evensong in due course.

lol, yes very traditional countryside look in his Italian rtw spaghetti clothes. he should be in a made in china polo shirt eating curry.

He is very keen on English footwear. I don't know the details on his suits but they don't look like Italian style.

even the italians are keen on english footwear, unless they are bad taste freaks. he wears italian ties mainly and i believe his suits are mainly corneliani and italian rtw stuff like that. nothing wrong with it per se, they are conservative and not exaggerated italian shit, but nonetheless, they don't look English to me at all. just sort of a well fitting middle of the road business suit one may see all over the world, which up until a few years ago was an italian rtw look. now it all seems to be made in china tight crap. He's dresses like a holdout from 00s.

I may be giving Cleav undue credit when he posts next to clowns like Lino. He suits are conservative as are Krusty's. I am not too hung up on country of manufacture. Some people complain that is boring. I see it as gimmick-free. Of course this of no interest to the bespoke only crowd. I did not think this was The London Lounge though.

Cleav also wears tweed sports jackets that are definitely English. In English colours too, something Johnny Foreigner often fails on. His surroundings are English and Cleave looks English.

its not a question of country of manufacture, or of boring, or of bespoke. its a question of style. and in my mind he does not dress in an british style. perhaps this british style is a fantasy of mine, although i do see it quite often in London. Cleave dresses in a much more international business conservative style, very much in line with italian rtw. and his ties are all wrong for england.

these gents are wearing british style, both country clothes and city clothes. he does not dress like them. i just found the pictures quickly, don't particularly like the country gents and i love the city gent, but its is just to make a point. notice the cut of the jackets, the shirts, the type of ties.

precisely why i was suggested he would look more at home in a made in china polo shirt and eating curry than an italian rtw suit.

International business style is based on the English pattern. If you want something like Cordings kit it has its own elements but not so much that the two are incompatible/incongruous.

Cleav's shirts are Jermyn Street style too. Ties are definitely international these days. Silk ties from wherever. Does not need to be Drakes instead of Hermes. The repp tie equivalent does not really apply in the UK.

no shit Sherlock. i believe the suit in general is based on the english pattern. based on your logic, most businessmen in New York dress in an English style and like cleaver the beaver are, as you put it,

offering a traditional look. Also rural, ye olde England, flower gardens etc. I expect to see cricket on the village green and maidens cycling to evensong in due course.

sure whatever, in their cornelini suits LOL.

Cleav's shirts are Jermyn Street style too.

definitely 4 for £100 or whatever they are offering these days

^ Yes. You can either go Italian, or American Ivy style, or English - which is the default style.

Maybe your concept of English is something like a barrister would wear, minus the wig and legal paraphernalia?

By the way, Mr. yellow hook, Rossicone. He is quite well spoken on his video.

Have you seen what passes for male primary school teachers these days? I would say he's right on message.

Er I was going to agree with this statement, but then I remembered our corporate lawyer who looks like he's an ageing boy band member on his €425 an hour.

That tight crap is still everywhere and combined with half mast trouser lengths exposing cheap Ecco style "shoes", it really is a beta male look.

In the age of the internet it is easy to find out though. History. His pupils seem to like him. At least they did not grass him up.

There's a certain Brit country style, Cordings (as Kingy mentioned) do it and dressed the whole of UKIP in it, some Dutch gents of certain age go for it too, that I find indescribably dull: all Viyella tattersall and ties with game birds and hunting dogs motifs. Looks like you're off to the cattle market.

You really can't go wrong with an English look based on a peacock-dandy shirt and tone down from there. Never inappropriately over or under dressed.

I thought THIS teacher dressed better than the teacher that we're talking about. Guess not.

^ Yes. You can either go Italian, or American Ivy style, or English - which is the default style.

English is not the default style. The style of cleave is a generic Italian rtw style which appeared some time in the 80s, took the world by storm and is still around. Up until people started wearing tight shit with low mast pants this style was pretty much universal. That fact that you believe this style is somehow encompassed by the English look in even its most broad sense just shows how prevelant it is and how truly marganilized the British look has become, where it's now just for barristers, lords or cattle markets.

Saying American ivy is a third choice is very LOL. The number of people wearing sacks in the us, even in traditional ivy strongholds like New York or Boston is minuscule. It's like saying mod suits or French bespoke fish mouth suits or new edwarian suits are also an option. Sure for some specialists and small regional groups.

They might not be wearing sack suits, but they're certainly wearing suits that fit like sacks.

Most people wear RTW. I am not sure where you are going with this. Italians selling suits based on the English style. So what? That is globalisation for you.

Are you after the sort of look you see on the TV box sets that Muffy Aldrich collects?

only place i'm going is that the image of cleave in his business suits does not invoke as you put it

rural, ye olde England, flower gardens etc.

... cricket on the village green and maidens cycling to evensong in due course.

the only image cleave invokes is an igent in his suit taking pictures in the country for the internet or at best a businessman from anywhere out in the country for work. anything else is giving this guy way too much credit.

^ Fair enough. IMO, Cleav does not have enough gimmicks to be a proper igent. Still one of the better dressed though, while not in the style of Lord Peter Wimsey.
