Disagreeable Menswear Post Of The Day

That's nonsense. If anything, the Sexton cut would hide that fact.

It wouldn't. And I've no wish to look like a white Lawrence Taylor.

A&S would look good on me though, if they brushed up the quality of their finishing I'd be tempted to 'rock' one of their DB.

You need to be more 'economical' with your postings. Learn to, ration them a bit.

...say, a post or two...

...a month.

Tom Ford, Sexton, and the likes fit me really well. Too bad they're prohibitively expensive for everyday use.

I don't think they fit everyone. But due to the meteoric popularity of Tom Ford the past 10 years, everyone and their brother in the high-end market will try squeeze into their suits. At least Sexton can make a suit fit you well...I've seen some absolutely disastrous Tom Ford MTM suits, where the wearer simply didn't have the body for what Tom Ford envisioned (even though it being a MTM, which is baffling).

I've owned a couple of recent Chester Barrie RTW suits, which looked almost identical to the Sexton cuts. Same wide lapels, gorge, button stance, shoulder structure.

Maybe, because the person doing the measuring couldn't measure correctly.

That's because Edward Sexton was a consultant to them a few years back. There is a Youtube video somewhere with an interview.

Many MTM systems have serious limitations to what can be done. When you alter one thing (like shoulder width, for example) it will also affect the back width. Then there is, of course, the high possibility that the person who takes the measurements had just a few days of training and has never seen a tailor shop.
I know from own experience that a lot of MTM operations rely heavily on the charm of such operators. Men are easy to manipulate. They won't return to that company, but they got at least one sale.

There was an Asian fella on SF who used to post the most egregiously shit selfies of his hideous gear. No shortage of cash so a poster boy parvenu. At one point he said he’d got a job as a MTM measurer. Good luck getting any decent advice out him. Maybe it was for Astor and Black and they’ve all gone down together?

I'm sure Sexton would bespeak you a suit cut to flatter. Any good cutter would.

Oh, I've no doubt he could. However, I'm a believer that some physiques look better in certain styles than they do others.

I'm a fan of Sexton though, he's a flamboyant, stylish character. Qualities which I admire. Anything, that saves us from the tyranny of 'good taste' is most welcome.

Don't know about Sexton (what he wears himself looks good and understated compared with Cifo) but the Chittleborough&Morgan (quoted by formby formby ) cut is absolutely ridiculous with their exagerated pagoda shoulder. One of the worst bespoke I can dream of.
Did somebody mention pagoda?

Isn't that Florentino Pérez? I'd have thought you'd like a guy who runs an institution like his.

That mason banned both UltraSSur people and the legal flag of Falange on the Bernabeu Stadium, so he deserves death by double T, traitor and tacky.

Dang, didn't know that! Thanks, no wonder the suits looked almost exactly like the Sexton suits. Only difference was that the CB were a bit shorter in length.

wtf is happening with those sleeves
is it so hard for a tailor to hang a sleeve properly?
out of all badspoke fitting mistakes it's the one I see more often, a shame cause a nice, clean sleeve is a sight to behold

He's actually my "boss"
My employer was bought by his corporation

King of autofellatio Crappers shamelessly boosting ad views by running sham award ceremony for the tired and uninspiring. Business does the hard work which he leverages into ad revenue. Crappers himself responsible for best artisan category - who will pay the most to sweep up this most prestigious of tacky shill trophies? Plus aryan horse face voted best dresser? Lol lol

Edit:

He deserves death penalty not by double T but triple T, traitor, tacky and Tanga client.

The hat trick of dishonour.

I salute both founders of UltraSSur, Ochaita y el Cadenas.

Madrid heroes!

Why on earth would anyone want bespoke that doesn't fit?

I give way the the great Crompers, who provides an answer of sorts in his latest disquisition:

"It’s something I’ve written about regularly over the years. I do occasionally accept discounts, yes, but given the scale of what I own and available income [my italics], it makes no difference to what I can afford or whether I want something in my wardrobe."
