Well depends I guess. Many people go to work and it's very full on. There are likely many well dressed guys that don't stand out enough to be photographed that we never see.
I feel pity for those that just show up to stand around hoping to get their photos on Tommy tons blog. Bloggers and self proclaimed experts mostly that haven't worked a day in the actual industry. Looking for the next bugger that'll give them a discount.

Howdy--I couldn't help but notice that I was discussed a little bit ~page 78, and just wanted to chime in.
I sincerely do not intend to come across as a brand-whore, and certainly did not want to be construed as such. I apologize if this is what I conveyed.
I will certainly agree that I can be somewhat stingy when it comes to alterations. Unfortunately, I have recently moved to a new city, and I have yet to find an alterations tailor that I trust. My last attempt to have something altered came back a complete (almost unrecoverable) mess. I am still starting out on my sartorial journey, and I continue to learn more and more every day.
Again, not exactly certain what inspired such vitriol, but I apologize if I offended anyone by my conduct.

I am not certain how pursuing bespoke, to improve the fit of my clothes, is worthy of being a "pretentious loser"?
I don't give a shit about being given a break--all I was saying, is I apologize I was construed a certain way.
And why do I mention brands? Honestly, because I would rather not answer PMs regarding where I received certain items. If you state it initially, it is a whole lot easier than answering 10 PMs throughout the day asking where I purchased something. As for why I shop at "igent" stores. I live in Louisiana. Have you been to Louisiana? I would be incredibly impressed if you could find one store worth shopping at. I recently stopped into a retailer just yesterday that was charging over $200 for a Bigi tie. That is ridiculous.
As for my clothing being "ill fitting," or "not fitting," improving my fit is certainly something I am working on. Other than the quarters cutting away a bit too much in this shot, and the sleeves being too long, I cannot really see too many issues with another fit that is quoted hereinabove.

I will give you credit for posting here. That said, does it really matter what a bunch of people on the Internet say about you? The fact that you have not perceived sleeve length to be an issue prior to comments as well as issues about the quarters suggest from an observational perspective to others that you haven't taken the time to assess your fit or have it assessed for you.
It appears that you post "look what i have and it is brand X". I say appears because people make assumptions on the Internet all the time as in real life.
If you were interested in assessment of fit, you would as SF for that feedback.
You might want to do that in place of posting what watch you are wearing as that contributes nothing to how your clothes fit. I
True, it adds a bit of flash and an extra name to the list of what you are wearing.
Hopefully your experience with Despos will be great and you will learn what looks good, correct sleeve length and all the other things that a proper tailor can do for you.
Forgive DW for possibly assuming wrongly about your motivations for posting what and how you do without any proper reference provided by you in your description that accompanies the pics.

No need to give me credit, or anything of that ilk. I really do not necessarily care what people think of me or my fits (from a personal perspective), but this is certainly a hobby of mine, and I do enjoy in engaging in an online discussion of it.
I am actually very good at taking criticism. However, attacking fit, and attacking character, are two very different things. One of which I am okay with, and one of which--well, if you want to spend your day being a dick to a bunch of anonymous persons, that is certainly your prerogative.
I understand your statements regarding "look what I have it is brand x." Personally, I do so primarily for the purpose of discussion, and because I hate bogging down a thread with "where do you get those pants," or "what square is it," etc. Personally, I have always liked when people linked to where they purchased something, because if I like something, I may buy it. But I understand how it can (easily) be construed as me being a pretentious asshole. It is noted, and I will debate how I will continue moving onward.
Frankly, I am interested in an assessment of fit. And I do ask for feedback. However, I do most of that through PMs, and through other means. And if you dig through my older pictures, you will clearly see that I have taken a whole lot of feedback to heart. That is not, by any means, to say that I do not have a ton to learn.
I agree with your general assessment of the fit--the sleeves are too long. I will be the first to admit it, and the first to say that getting sleeves altered to the right size (for some reason or another) is a gigantic pain in the ass for me. For some reason or another, I err on the side of caution, and normally get it wrong.
Personally, I use online forums as a means for engaging in conversation with like-minded people, and as a creative outlet. My job is boring, like many, and takes little imagination. It does not stimulate my creative side. I like writing long-winded reviews, and discuss my experiences, because I enjoy reading the experiences of others. I view it as "giving back," but I guess others view it as "showing off." Horses for courses.
As for adding my watch, well, if you look at some of my older posts, you will see that Watches have been, and continue to be, a passion of mine. The thread is WAYWRN. You wear a watch. I apologize if it offends. Personally, I think it adds to an outfit.
I am looking forward to my experience with Despos, and I hope to learn a lot. Despite being on the slimmer side (not to say that I am in great shape, or slim), I have a fairly difficult body to fit. My front/back balance is way off, I have very square shoulders, and I have large hips, and a slim(mer) waist.

As you say, horses for courses. It is the Internet, you put yourself out there and all kinds of comments come your way: good bad or indifferent.
Despos will put you on a good course and you sound like you are interested in learning.
With respect to your sleeve length, you have to decide how much cuff to show, there are accepted metrics for that, and then have your tailor do it.
As previously said, "attacking" you requires someone to seek you out and then confront. Criticizing whether objectively, subjectively or mean-spiritedly is what people have done here. To attack you one would have to go to SF and post directly at you.
Become a member here, post your fits and people will give you constructive comments.
Otherwise, you are just some anonymous guy on the Internet and are open to all kinds of comments either rightly or wrongly.
Carry on with your love of clothing and watches. Just communicate once and a while to demonstrate that you are deepening your knowledge rather than, like some, making SF AV's rich and giving them free advertising

As for the supposedly vitriolic statements, the above "loser" comment was clearly sarcasm. The rest of it was definitely not so horrible as you'd have to crawl into bed and have a good cry. If you're going to hang around here you're going to have to develop a thicker skin. Not everything is sparkles and sunshine like on SF.
Given what you've written, my criticism of you would be less that you're a pretentious cocksucker (which may or may not be true, I don't know) but that you're not that sharp of a knife. If you know your pieces need tailoring, and you know that it's all a bit off, why are you posting pics of it? You're obviously not asking for tailoring advice, nor are you trying to improve your fits, but it seems you only are interested showing off. So if you show off things that are poor one way or another, why are you surprised when people react negatively to it?

My tip to you to improve your fit is to look at people who have clothes that fit, and talk to your tailor (if it's Chris Despos you are in good hands). Don't post pictures listing what you are wearing because nobody cares.
