Well, they are wearing lady's house slippers so socks would be silly. Stripes really show every ripple around that junk in the pockets. .
 
Eidos fanbois alert! Apparently your beloved Antonio is not just using Isaia to produce his tacky clothes.

^ That doesn't surprise me.

Isaia make their own suits, trousers and shirts in their own facilities, but as far as I'm aware, any other Isaia products (ties, pocket squares, anything else that they make) are made elsewhere, by sub-contracted firms.

It would be the same in this case - Isaia/Eidos simply find a company that is good at making swimming trunks or casual shorts and get them to manufacture the orders on their behalf.

So I talked to Marc Etlin for the first time. Ended up with 3 Lupo polos, 1 madras shirt, 1 sport coat, and 1 deck coat coming to me...I think I need to go take a shower now...

Advanced dresser know Eidos is golden and buys a tuxedo. Nice to know Caruso is doing higher end stuff these days. Yup they were really shitter before.

Oh, and he doesn't like the Caruso tuxedo shirt because it has French cuffs. I guess advanced Eidos dressers prefer tuxedo con barrel cuffs. Surprised he could not find EidosTuxShirtCollectorsItem

Just picked up an Eidos tuxedo to wear to a black tie wedding, the shantung silk facings are unbelievable in person. I am looking for a shirt to wear with it and went by the new Caruso store in NYC (unbelievable if you haven't been yet), the brand is under new ownership and they are doing higher end detail and finish work now. I was contemplating getting a sea island fabric turndown collar shirt with thinner swiss pleats. My only concern (other than the price!) is that it has french cuffs and not barreled cuffs.

I never really liked wearing cufflinks as they seem too flashy for me, are french cuffs necessary for black tie or is barreled cuff acceptable? If it should be cufflinks, any ideas on who supplies some understated and classy ones?

Bloke buys tuxedo (I assume he really means a Dinner Suit) with fancy shantung silk facings, and presumably a black silk Bow Tie, to wear to that seemingly unique American phenomena - The Black Tie Wedding - but then puts the brakes on getting a traditional double cuff shirt because "I never really liked wearing cufflinks as they seem too flashy for me"

Could I have an explanation from someone north of Mexico or Cuba what the above means?

Americans have this very weird aversion of double cuffs (and anything that's even remotely formal). I suspect it's because they're called French cuffs over there. You'll hardly ever see them being worn for business or otherwise.

Well, my guess is the jacket either got (too) wet (hung over night in a steamy bathroom to get out the wrinkles :laugh1:)
and/ or it just needs a good press. Worst case scenario is poor craftsmanship/ machine setting (tight stitches). In that case it's a lost cause.

Antonio Liverano is not the youngest, so along with the reasons mentioned above I'd say it's also limited time/ output.
Interesting to see that he expanded his trunk show team with his Albanian apprentice.

Sorry to lead you off track on this excellent thread about the Madras Californian Royal in white Bucks born for slavery. But as a new-comer and naive wanker I must admit that I have ended up in some kind of trouble as "Kongen" over at Styleforum. I seem to have pissed quite a few people off by ridiculing the American producer Eidos of Napoli. They keep insisting that they are an Italian brand because they jave some Romainia slave-workers chained to some dubious cellar south of Rome. Well, so did Cosa Nostra too until they watched Sopranos. Now the Sicilian mothers all claim to be wearing Ralph Lauren and try to pretend they all came from the state that claims to be full of gardens while the rest of us know it as a polluted toll road. War is God's way of teaching Americans geography. Eidos fuckin' wankers of Napoli?!

Shoe snob is a nice guy but his blog is just a marketing front. Since day 1 he mentioned hes starting his own shoe brand and shine shoes on his way there. He's not a snob. Shooman is way more of a shoe nerd/snob.

Fuck double cuff or french cuff. I hate how it affects how my sleeves wear.

On the other hand, it can be seen quite frequently on bank tellers and car salesmen.
