I WANT TO BE PART OF YOUR THREAD TOO BUT IT JUST DOES NOT WORK

that's precision german tailoring for you. very ugly but the collar sticks. i'm sure that german living in texas would be pleased. Der Zuschneider master of german cutting systems text books and mental patient with no clients (heard he was working as janitor on weekends to make some scratch or maybe that was another master tailor).
Scherensammler Scherensammler must know whom i'm talking about.

JAJAJAJAJA, that is the infamous Uwe T. Schoenherr (aka Der Zuschneider), one of the greatest carpet tissue potato sack tailors in the former GDR. Last thing I heard was he's a bricklayer now, making tons of money.

I think Herr Winterkorn could be wearing very expensive RTW/ MTM, like Regent.
Must really bug him that his @collo-game is not at the level of Agnelli or Onassis.

some german industrialists have the proper collo though

Scherensammler Scherensammler tell us more about the tailors
who puts breast pockets on lapels?

Never seen that before, but it's a smart gadget to have. Lapel bouquet (not just one flower), a variety of pocket squares or even a bunch of paper tissues can fit in there. Good for condoms, too, I would imagine.
However, I have no idea who made this outstanding piece of clothing. The lapels look very 70's, so this could be an old garment and the tailor long gone to the great workroom in the sky.
BTW, is it just me, or are the fronts square at the bottom front?

Verri functional for keeping cigarettes close to hand. No unsightly pocket bulge. No crumpling.

Thanks for the update on Der Zuschneider. I just made up the janitor thing but I guessed he must be doing something else. Truly one the biggest freak shows I've ever seen on the boards. His tailor cutter post are legendary but I never really followed that board. Think he got thrown off LL. His SF posts were just boring. If I recall, a real believer in charging very high prices (I would say he was obsessed with how much tailors should charge) and German style : hence no clients. Please give us more of your impressions of him.

That's a relatively new picture, so he looks US-SI !
He tried to create the "ultimate" drafting system, so there wouldn't be any fittings necessary. Well, he didn't quite succeed.
Mostly because he used a system from the 60's as a starting point. Verriboxy, verriboring, but also "verriprecise". I can't find the diagram right now, but there were more than 100 construction points in the front alone. Which makes the one problem that all drafting systems share even worse: Proper measuring and applying those measurements to the draft. Once your measurements are off and you have to use several formulas to create a front piece it gets totally wacko.
He probably thought that setting up a website and boasting on C&T what a great tailor he is would be enough to get rich clients through the door of his Houston suburb house.
His wife was paying all the bills, so after a few years of him playing "bespoke tailor" she must have had enough, hence his new job.
DZ is a very bitter character, which is sad, because he's a good tailor. Just doesn't have any clue about style and marketing.

or maybe mohamad ayoubi? or both? any news updates about mararoraro btw?

Mararroweird (raro mean weird in italian) was in Dubai last week visiting/measuring customers. Next time he is here I will go and check how much he charges....
