Great Cars

Not much of a vette guy, but this is so fucking beautiful. I'd spank it on a track.

My old man has a '67 427 Vette. Last true stingray.

You guys only know about shit cars.
Lancia

That vid was extraordinary. Those Lancia's are just amazing. My favorite part was that Italian guy at the end spanking the pants off that car and Harris shitting himself at the speed that guy was driving. That was fun to watch.

This is kinda why I think the F40 might be the best Ferrari ever. Not the prettiest, but look at the way it responds.

Green? How can you run a clothing forum being colorblind?
It helps when I have to look at these fucking outfits all day long.

Seriously though, looks like a very light green shade. I'm on my laptop too so its definitely not the picture size.

Love the body style but give me a '67 to '69 L88. '69 convertible like this one. 427 w 430 HP, solid lifters, 4 speed and Sebring race package. Only 2 done in this spec out of only 116 built in 1969. Of course will run like shit on today's gas.

The color is canary yellow.

L88s are badass, but finicky power plants.

I'd take one though.

Pops car is a 427/400. Has a 6 pack and roller rockers.

Mercedes are for untalented drivers. Tacky people and those wear Rubinacci's outfits.

Yeah, rough running at idle and street speed. Your pop's ride is more tractable.

Cars that I get wet just by hearing their name
Lancia Delta Integrale HF
Lancia Fulvia
Lancia 037
Alfa Romeo GTV6

Nice cars when all the bits and pieces are not falling off them. Lancias makes Lotuses look like they were well built.

One of the most beautiful Eyeties of all time: Lamborghini Miura

+1.

My mum was filling up with petrol ("gas" for you North Americans) when I was about ten years old. I was sitting in the front passenger seat of our very ordinary family car and I could see a guy in his late forties or early fifties putting some air into the tyres of a Lambo Miura over on the other side of the petrol station forecourt.

My mum noticed my eyes bulging out of my head so she walked over and mentioned to the man that her son thought that his car was great. He said that it was fine for me to come over and take a look and then he let me sit in the front passenger seat while he turned the car on and revved the engine.

It turned out that one of my friends was driving past with her parents as I was getting out of the Miura and when I got to school on Monday the story that I'd "been given a drive in a hot Italian car" had been spread around the schoolyard and I was much in demand for the next week or so as people chased me down to find out what the story was.

Peugeot 205 16 - best of the pocket rockets. Homogated group B car

The DS was blown up in Scarface (elite) and driven by Adrian Paul in that crappy Highlander show but also used by non-elite college kid in Real Genius and Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv series.

I wish MB offers a manual gear box
As I recall, when they did (SLK) they were thoroughly unengaging and numb.
My old mechanic had some AMG SLK with a slushbox and he admitted to preferring to drive his old Honda CRX with the stick shift.

We need some Volvo wagon ITT

I like Acura/Honda a lot, the only japanese maker with a sense of passion in certain models. Thats one of the reaons why I have a rice burner, a TSX.

TSX was good but their current lineup is pretty much crap. Their insistence on never doing a V-8 is egg on their face.

Agreed, my 2.4 k2a4 is damn good thanks to the Vtec, if they could make a V8 with VTEC it would be ludicrous. TLs and TSX 2004/2009 were damn fucking good, both on looks and performance and of course cost/benefit.

This damned NSX is becoming like the Volt: teased for so long that it is sure to disappoint and seem old whenever it actually shows up.
I can't get into hybrid sports cars. It just seems wrong to throw so much weight in there.
