There's really no way to get it to not show on new posts when it shows up on the forum. So basically you're just saying that you just don't like the fucking thing.

So I've been toying around with the ability to add in feeds from certain places like blogs or eBay. The ability to add in a stream of their generated posts is pretty powerful. Does anyone have any streams of things like ebay deals or daily finds that they might want to see on the forum? This isn't something that I use myself but I know a lot of you out there are eBay mavens.

So how we feeling about the Featured Threads? The new Featured Threads home page?

One interesting thing I've been looking at is the ability to have background images (think a logo) for each individual thread.

Another is that I can create a slider (rotates the threads), again with customized images.

Suggestions on styling and features welcome here fellas. Design, quite obviously, is not my strong suit.

Frankly, I go straight to the forums but I can see how for someone just checking things out, being able to see featured threads might be good.

You wouldn't even need to swipe. It would just be automatic.

I think that might be better. As it stands, it eats up a lot of space. Maybe if you had an icon & rotation the landing page would be more balanced

Well the thing with the landing page is that it's sort of supposed to be top to bottom with featured threads. That's kind of the point.

Its very heavily styled, so it'll take me a while. I need background images for every thread that we want to feature. For instance, a picture of Gianni in a horrible suit (the rapey face pic maybe) to use as the background.

Ok, so for the homepage to be useable, what would you want it to have?

I also added links to the forum under the navigation bar, so now you've got things like search and new posts that you can see on mobile.
