Talking about trousers, did anyone try or know Pasquale Mola? When I ask him his prices he refused to tell me and answer me to come directly to his atelier, then we'd talk about prices. I retorted I was a serious customer and that hiding his prices wasn't compatible with my Aryan mores.

It seems it was a trap to extract your liver, keep distance!

Creepy photos. Are you so poor you can't even buy the services of a professional menswear photograph? Don't you have a wife to do it? A toilet mirror like our great Poutine lover Cesare? Therefore I move against your photos with force.

When you start taking your own photos, it becomes quickly apparent that the influencers out there have either partners who are professional photographers, or it's paying gig for the lucky photographer.

I will. What the fuck? A price is a price. If those neapolitans have multiple prices for dumb customers, Igents, shillers and serious customers he just had to send me his price list. Mysterious prices = dubious artisans.

You should know by now, there's always the gringo price.

It is obvious that there will be at least 2-10 different prices

They claim it's their partner taking the photos, but if I peacocked myself and struck poses I feel like my partner would relentlessly (rightfully) take the piss.

Welcome to Naples.

Arthisany on scam to tourists. 500 years doing it, UNESCO APPROVED.

Directly inherited of Spaniards and catalonians.

You should know by now, there's always the gringo price.

Jajajajaa

Do not forget the Craptom and Skeletor from Paris bloggers recommend when visiting your internet booked hyped untailo, this way they will be repayed on the next years they casualty “revisit” “the best tailor in the world” ( everymonth is one different, just the one who has paid that month) and get other badspoke monstruosity.

Wear your most expensive watch, avoid elegant classic ones, now it´s time for a pink gold one over 50.000 euros, your most eye catching (tacky on Sarto’s dialect) cocodrile or similar 6000e shoes.

This way the tailor who does 800 euros a month would give you the price your highness deserves, 4500 euros per unsuit as Tackynacci does.

( also this way the camorristi fellas would get 6000 on the resale of it when they rob you the watch when you are buying on the street the Iphone X for 100 euros or grams of bad charlie, and will give me one euro for coffee as tip, so lumpens as me can wear those, oh wait, I am not a badtaster who wears Rolex Submariners or tacky metal sporty watches on suits)

My most loved watch I had to sell for a portion of the 10.000e I paid was a classic IWC Portuguesse.

Your tailor must know you are an elegant man who deserves the best. As price he will measure you on counterfeit Nike sneakers bought for 10 euros to the street ilegales.

Do this, Sarto as pre-sarto attempt as blogger did when visited Orazio. You know the results...

But if you enter by the rear door talk neapolitan, live on the same building and need a suit for the wedding of your son expatriate on the Neapolitan side of Australia, the exact (well way better, because they won´t dare to do a crap for a neighbourgh) will be maybe 800 to 1 grand with “tessuto”?

Biege Hounds tooth jacket vintage hunters of Brora tweed, over coat weight, 20 oz at least.

The fake russel check with the bordeaux and orangish window, 12 to 14 oz tweed, smooth, tailors old stock

Grey, black, yellow check, 12 to 14 oz lambswool cashmere mix, tailors old stock

Grey flannel DB, 16 oz at least, soft and stiff, one of the best flannels I’ve ever handled, check out that chest drape.

Not pictured two pairs of LP winter cotton in violet and Bordeaux 13 to 14 oz.

Will photo all when worn.

The three funny vintage cloths pictured are not mine and are from a the stock of another tailor.

All cloths look superb. Very tasteful

I'm sure you can get 300€/trouser if you reach him with the right attitude (let him you are willing to pay that price or you move to other sarto).

I am more than convinced that 150-200 cmt is a more realistic cmt price for people who got the right introduction

To nuance what I said on neapolitans, I must underline there are some humble, honest and transparent artisans amongst them I know. The mystery prices pratice is a good way to debunk scammers and separate the wheat from the chaff.

300 uros fabric included is a max. Only dumb Asians or members of the craptomian sect are willing to pay 1k for a pair of trouser.

Three days back, three fits of the new stuff. Still left 2 more jackets and 1 more pair of pant to post.

I like the cut verri much. Verri drape with the extended front dart and all, and nice to see jackets that actually fit like jackets and not condoms. Also liking the three roll two config. Not sure about the pents though, on the pics they don't seem to fall cleanly - is it your stance?

thanks. the pants also fit like pants, not condoms, loose and comfortable. the purple ones fall cleanly but then again they are cotton so a perfect shape doesn't last particularly long. the flannels are also great but like all flannel may have tendency to bag. for me they are pretty close to perfection.

Forgot to say these are top elite garments.

Pimpernel Smith Pimpernel Smith you should take example on our friend for his pattern harmony science.

I am just following, among others, the master of bespoke simplicity il vecchio from SF

As they are new garments, I’m sure my choices will get more adventurous over time. Just wanted to enjoy them for the cut and not give shirt and tie much thought.

Save your breath with Buckley, he has other ends in his mind and will surely seek to achieve them by other means regardless of your or anyone else’s opinion.

Your new jackets are a little baggy around the upper chest and arms. Il Vecchio's fit is perfect though.

By design. The drape is my preference and it suits my build. Il vecchio is alot slimmer, using a Brit tailor and his pants are too tight. because of my size, if i want to have a nice shape in the waist, i need a draped or swelled chest to a degree, otherwise jacket will fit me like a rectangle regardless of how fine the tailoring is. i also like the way it looks and the additional comfort it provides. i prefer to get as much shape as possible out of bespoke, the slightly extended shoulders also aid this although it is not necessary as I am not shaped liked a pear. Likewise for other types of tailoring I enjoy having even a slightly longer jacket, with a slightly lower buttoning point and a slightly flared skirt. all of this enhances the shape of the jacket. obviously this sort of stuff can become excessive and i also hope to avoid that. while i get why some people don't care for it stylistically, for me it is one of several reasons to use bespoke even when one is a fairly normal size and can fit into rtw.

There's much debate on whether drape is good tailoring or not... I don't consider it better or worse than a clean cut. It's just a tool. Back in the day when it was ubiquitous it was just because the ideal masculine figure was a very large chest and a nipped waist. I see drape as a tool to achieve this on those with a less than ideal build.

I also find it more aesthetically pleasing than a clean cut but that enters into personal preference territory.

It's not that it doesn't have its technical aspects as well. A large cut chest is not enough for drape, it's not simply a too big, baggy jacket. The neck point has to be cut straight so that excess cloth is thrown towards the armscye, and the canvas is also cut short of the armscye so that the folds come naturally. I'm sure there are other tech aspects to the cut as well.

I'm in Naples next weekend, from Friday to Sunday. I'm having a fitting with the Master and possibly I'll try Golia for a first shirt.

If somebody is there we shall take an espresso. My french-aristrocratic GF will be with me and she's a lot funnier than I am.

How was your trip in Napoli? I'll visit Castel Volturno in May to order a bespoke machete.

Pro tip : checkout his insta for report

My phone is a vintage Nokia 3310 Sarto sold me for 1 uro, he inherited from his Camorra buddies when he was begging in the Via Chiaia few years ago after he burned all his hard-earned money in a Crapazio ill-fit jacket and was forced to return to Madrid where his phalangists buddies offered him to stay in a studio flat in a djihadist building. I don't even have 3G. Unhackable though. Thanks to it I'm invisible to the eyes of the NSA. In these conditions how the hell can I find the Instagram of the young padawan?

Quite good. Prima prova with the Maestro went well and I was measured for a shirt with Golia. I'll pick up the suit and a pair of cream linen trousers in a couple/three weeks and I'll have a prima prova for a linen jacket to be delivered in May or so. I'll post pictures of the fitting when I get home.

BTW, Master Oreo received a package containing several Minnis frescos in grey and blue with a cut length of orange cotton from our friend who delivers HFW at fair prices but the package hadn't the name of the client. Please, whoever ordered that contact the Master urgently because he doesn't know who's the owner of those tissues.

Apart from that, a cut length of the igent cloth made by Die, Workwear of silk and linen was hanging from master's door for a FrenchCustomer Really nice colour and texture. Goodtaster choice imo. I want one now.

During the weekend was funny to come across Panico twice, Toofuni, Amato and Pirozzi always on via Chiaia 197, not the other Pirozzi who is not as good as him.

How much is a shirt from Golia? And who's your friend who gets you HFW at fair prices?
