Even then, Arnathor's post wasn't particularly funny, and I somewhat agree with the general opinion on SF. They all dress like clowns, it's fun to point and laugh at them twice a year, but after a while any normal person gets tired of that as well. I generally avoid the SF pitti thread, and I'll probably start doing the same on this thread.

I ignore SF for this very reason. They dress to impress an online forum, not to look better in real life. Things they like have no basis in reality, they dress according to rules that some other wanker on the internet made up. Pitti is what I assume SF would be in real life, which is why I believe they defend it so much - aspirational clothing for igents.

I am chuckling at how sensitive some of the members are. It is the internet for christ's sake, even if I ruffled a few feathers I'm nothing compared to Storm Front or better yet, go watch Asian national anthems and read the comments, it is horrible what people say.

Yes, exactly. I won't say his name but one member is still harping on it. SF members seem to be hyper sensitive to politics, they start freaking out when I bring it up, they hate Alex Jones fans.

You want only love in the SF Pitti thread, stick in "Appreciation" which is code word for "circle jerk" and no one will do anything but love on the Pitti from then on.

Probably should stop using Braddock and EFV as examples on normally dressed people at Pitti because by deductive reasoning one is surreptitiously saying there are fucked up dressers.

How can you only want safe, positive statements - how does that engender discussion?

He also repeates always, that to criticise others, i have to post pics of my work, that is a childish fact that any mature person over 8 years old would say and less one who has been 50 years on it.

I have never seen a film critic who is director himself.

Apparently, the clowns peacocks are responsible for the success of menswear and Pitti.

It was quoted that Edward Green had record order. However I have yet to find photographic evidence of its representatives wearing Tiroler hats, serapes and Galways with 3 inch platform heels.

This is what I saw and heard firsthand as well. Business was booming. A lot of the guys who complain about the lack of orders were much happier this year. Could be because B&B is dead, but even in the classic menswear side, orders seemed to be streaming in.

It’s an industry, not a club for old farts sitting around discussing how everything was better back in the day. An industry that does not evolve will die, and classic menswear was on life support a few years ago, now it’s going through a renaissance. In no small part due to the “peacocks”.
