The SF/AAAC/FNB trainwreck thread

You got it.
That explains poor souls like this one. I mean even GAP won't sell crap like this. This is just pure crap but no one seems to want to admit it outside SF CM thread.

What in the world? Have they sold their souls to the Chinese for more money?

It just shows that their US/Europe member participation is dying and they are trying to attract emerging markets. But the bad news is that the Chinese probably already have something way better than SF. They probably can't even stand its slowness.

Has anyone shopped at the Armoury? Suit Supply has served me well but I want a suit or a sport coat that is decent in quality and that isn't made in China. Then again, stuff with MADE IN ITALY is proably made by Chinese people in Italy.

I've never bought from them, nor have I yet had the chance to visit their store. So I don't really have a strong opinion one way or another. Judging from their social media accounts, however, for RTW, they seem to be plugging Ring Jacket more than anything else (which is made in Japan).

I've been to their store. The stuff they're selling is generally nice, but it's very expensive for what it is. Similar story to Drake's, their other brand. It's geared towards people who want the armoury to style them, and don't mind paying extra for the convenience. The Armoury is the rich man's no man walks alone.

Huh? I thought NMWA was already overpriced...considering the s#it they sell like Imperial something.
I am pulling out of Armoury and will just stick with what fits best, Suit Supply.

Yes, NMWA is a little overpriced, but fair on sale. $900 for a full canvas suit with a nice cut and a decent cloth is a good deal if you don't wanna fly to Napoli for mystery Italian tailors. The Armoury on sale is the same as NMWA full price, if they even do sales.

They do not do sale. I do not think I can afford the Fromosa suits but Eidos suits do intrigue me. I, however, do not know what kind of quality they are so I'll just pay $300 for an okay made in china jacket.

You can on SF & usually get away with it
Didn't some trousers company go off the radar too...I forget the name. They were Epaulet's competitors...

Ask Noodles if you can try on his Formosa.

Do you have a good sense of your measurements (beyond jacket size)? If that is your budget, and if you are patient, you can find heaps of stuff on eBay. And, of course, make sure that they don't have surgeon's cuffs, so that the alterations don't become impossible or impossibly expensive.

I believe a forum member is selling some elite suits on here...
