What Are You Wearing Today?

it is a madder tie
the barbour is a recent addition, and I wasn't planning on going to scotland just to wear it with a tartan scarf
but if it's that boring don't worry, I'll take the waywt pics in the morning before I get dressed

Esthetically boring but culturally interesting for a Spanish. How did this passion for tweed and tartan came to you ?

I sincerely have no idea. I just love tweed. In fact you're right and for winter I have nothing else in my wardrobe - six tweed jackets which are worn with flannels, cords or jeans. My only overcoat is made out of tweed. And the Barbour was added to my wardrobe only because the overcoat was too heavy to carry and I don't really need that much insulation.
Tartan is not really a passion, I just saw that scarf in an outlet for cheap (it happens to be Barbour as well) and liked it...

Do you have something else in your wardrobe than this perpetual combination of Barbour, tweed jacket, challis tie, challis tie, tweed jacket and Barbour? It becomes boring... By the way never wear a Tartan scarf with a Barbour in Scotland or we'll find your corpse floating in a loch.

why fuck with a good thing. i'm a fan of the rdiaz rdiaz posts. uniforms are good (your a fan of hugo boss, no?). boring can also be good. certainly no worse than you posting a grey odd jacket (in itlalian rtw cloth) every other post.

O please! You don't distinguish a top British heavy fabric from a RTW Italian cloth? You poor agent provocateur. Where has gone your suit science? I love our comrade rdiaz rdiaz but this thread needs variety. That's why I stopped recycling my top fabric grey unsuit. Cesare makes the job.

I honestly would like to have flannel suits and more varied stuff overall but have trouble finding second hand suits that fit. The DB that I got still needs to be tailored, need to find the time for it. I'll tailor the waist, trousers and length myself to save moneyz and have a true tailor mess a bit with the chest.

And the alterations of your Chaumard?

I edited the upper poast. Hope to get to wear it soon.
I was even thinking of experimenting a bit with it, actually straighten the coat if there's enough cloth at the top of the scye, and cut the haircloth away from the armscye, to see if the extra chest room makes some drapeish folds (which it doesn't right now)

The fabric is a flannel from the old hfw english flannels book.
Obviously for ever exhausted.

TOP TOP™ suit!!! May I kindly inquire about the tissu?

Dear viaattovannucci viaattovannucci
The answer is in the past

knot is pretty tight, it's the collar that sucks
if anyone knows a decently priced shirt maker that makes long collar points (not necessarily OCBD) I'm all ears

When on sale, PRL's "Classic Fit Easy Care Oxford" ("non-iron" OCBD) is 40 bucks around these parts.

Even though this is yet again a Barbour (albeit a 1993 one that I haven't worn much here) maybe Jupiter Jupiter will be grateful for the style change. Lambswool cardi and brushed cotton shirt, 501's and chelseas below.

Out for a good friend's birthday, on a country bar
