What Are You Wearing Today?

Shooman, I notice you mention a thermal top in addition to double knitwear. Are you in a ski resort? Thredbo or Perisher?

That is seriously warm clothing even for a cold, North European climate.

Shooman wears that stuff in sunny Melbourne.

The Shooman The Shooman how about this one?

I thought you might like it

Cristiano Fissore as much as you may want it, falls into the mid-range, but high quality. A canny buy. And I know diplomats who sport Fissore before other ranges. It says you cannot be bought.

I like the website, they have some good stuff.

For me that is not warm, that is only moderate warmth. Often l can be in an extra cashmere layer hidden underneath, and for outside l have an extremely thick overcoat. I feel the chill in my bones very easy these days, and it's very hard to get the chill out of my bones, and l can't stand the cold. If l wore what most people wear l would be shivering, and shivering is the worst suffering for me.

The best investment for me would be to get a bunch of 12 ply cashmere cardigans to wear in the early mornings and on weekends. Those would be worn everyday for 6 - 7 months of the year.

Should I shorten the sleeves 1 cm or lengthen my shirts 1 cm?

the fit seems quite nice tbh, but i like a relaxed drapey fit like that. apart from the button stance (get more width on your next jacket if you are going to stick with him and place the two top buttons wider - you can do that yourselves) and and stylistic choice of getting patches on a db coat, its quite nice

I was expecting the top buttons to be placed wider, in fact. But I like them like that, it's more subdued.

What you don't see is that my shoulders are much narrower than it looks. The man did a good job widening my figure, even with very little padding. I didn't expect that.

aristoi bcn aristoi bcn can you tell us more about the jeans, the cuffs and the shoes?

The jeans are Levi's Vintage Clothing 606 in rigid wash. Almost 30 cms front rise (same as my Cerrato dress trousers which are almost at my navel). 5cms cuff.

Shoes are Carmina red wholecuts in Alcudia last. When I ordered them I was expecting a red cherry colour like the one of G&G, but it's patinated crust leather and rather flashy. I don't wear them very often because of that.

Sent in my Barbour for repair, and just had a call today with the factory, to ask about the work needing to get done. Looking forward to getting it back, when it is all patched up (if the job does not turn out too expensive..).

How much needs to be done in repairs?

A big tear on a jacket sleeve at the cuff, various small holes inside, edges worn through in both sides at the bottom, cord collar could be replaced too + reproofing (I usually do that myself).
Sounds like a lot, but I have used it quite a bit, over the last few years. So things start to add up.

T&A paisley and chess piece tie with Gieves and Hawkes shirt, nice cut (despite the photo!), but close up:

The pattern on close inspection shows not so great cloth. Acceptable from afar and at the sale price.

Tie close up, spot on, it's a bit darker in reality:

I've got a T&A dressing gown made out of that exact fabric.

Your top two pics are no longer there for me.

What color are those socks?

The top colour is the right colour of the tie, the close-up gives the texture, but the colour is wrong as too the chinos which are grey.

The bottom photo colour is correct. Shows how Gieves & Hawkes have cut quality of the shirt cloth, but hidden it quite well, as it's in the details.

Very nice and very very british outfit! Love the buttons!
In case it's not a secret, what kind of watch is crowning that outfit?
Compliments, once more!

Now then, you know I could never post that because it was a Longi....actually it was an Auguste Reymond chronograph that I occasionally sport to keep it going. Can't sell it, can't do nothing but wear it to hand on the next generation.....

Bloody hell, ANOTHER @MrSpaghetti on DW? At least you should not last long given your advanced age, eh, signore Romiti?
If only you were a different Cesare then you would be most welcome here by myself. HE does make suits that I fancy. Or did, not so sure about the style put out at the moment. Ma troppo caro!! Certo!!
And he is from the TRUE sud, Napoli. Artisans of the highest order, noble craftsmen through and through. You could only hope to take an espresso with him. I just did so on Maresca's house roof the other day.
I am sure you are just another scamming EyEtalian. We are full but you are added. Seems DW has Western European immigration policies.
I hope you might be more than a criminal, on the dole member here or perhaps you will regale us with great fibs like your countryman W WildBlue who is 'between .2-9m tall'. Yes, pastaboys, very tall, indeed.

Oh, seems you are already deep onto the path of lies. You were learning Espanol while a schoolboy in Italia? That is rich. Try to do better next time.
That's all for now, @MrSpaghetti.

CesareRomiti CesareRomiti is a subroutine of W WildBlue or it's the contrary. All Eyetalians profiles here are monitored by a very advanced neapolitan AI.
