Unstructured iGent navy jacket, Crapelli knit and madder square. Not seen, curtain-like old man trousers in flannel.

jacket looks nice. pants look a bit too matchy matchy for my tastes but it could be the lighting.

It wasn't the light, I needed something for going down into the archives. Never know what's lurking down there. Last time I came across party photos from 1987 with ''Do Not Destroy Until 2027'' written on the box. All kinds of insanity. The best was the how to post a letter procedure back when they had over elaborate procedures for everything.

Good morning plaid haters & office prisoners. Too nice and sunny to go to work today.

I like this, even though the pose is distorting the fit of the jacket. Is it bespoke?

Raffale Oreo bespoke, first iteration. Ordering a couple of suits and a jacket in January. I'll shorten the sleeve by 1cm and that's all. Suits will be Fresco medium weight but have doubts about the jacket.

CT's classic fit cords, which are still quite tight around the thigh. The slim fit was unwearable, no idea who they make them for - waist was swimming in fabric while my thighs and calves were trapped.

Sadly fell at the first hurdle today and the heavy tweed is gone....full marks to FriendCustomer for carrying on the torch. Do have a vintage Rooster though:

No vintage rooster, they always looked a bit cheap to me, but a good number of old J Press.

Quality of the Roosters went down somewhat in their later years. Their best stuff is the madras, plaids and some of the more garrish ones. You have to check the sizing on ebay and the likes, as they did some serious kipperish ones in the 70s that are best hidden beneath a jumper.

Taking lessons from AAS?
As seen on my phone screen, none of those colours (shirt, tie, jacket) belong together.

Rustic mossy green blurry jacket is at odds with primary color tie in precise stripes. Not sure if shirt is lavender or gray. A cream or tattersall check shirt with a maroon ground tie would improve this. Yeah those might be obvious choices but there’s a reason why.

You can break the rules you know. Now and again.

Actually that rig worked because I knew what I was doing. The shirt was lilac. I had a rather long winded and boring teleconference to attend and I needed to bedazzle the weak and feeble minded.

I specifically avoided use of any reference to ‘rules’ in my post but whatever you want to call them, certain rules/conventions/standards/cliches ... whatever, have evolved for a reason. Certain colors just don’t look good side by side, for example - Mossy green and scarlet. Lavender and scarlet. Mossy green and black.

Actually I find his horrific sense of color coordination to be by far the best part of his outfits. It makes what appears to be otherwise quite average clothes in terms of fit, materials and style somewhat interesting. God forbid he should start to dress like one of the retiring suburban bank managers that inhabit this forum.
