A Guide to Rome - The Denizens of Dressedwell

Maybe you can ask Marta to drive Gianni up to Rome so he can nick some cloths for you? WeakMonday seems to employ him for this as well, maybe ask for his experiences?

Cacio e Pepe at Roma Sparita

I've just realised I did in fact go to this place, night before last. Cacio e pepe was top top! It was our intention to go to da Enzo al 29 but there was an obscene queue, so found these guys around the corner.

Unfortunately no fried artichoke available.

off the top of my head, i like the restaraunt il matriciano. traditional roman food and locals.
I agree with this recommendation. I have another that is a favorite, but I cannot recall the name right now. I will update when I remember the name and location.

This restaurant in trastavere is really good too, but very small, fits maybe 15 people. You sit on the counter and the kitchen is right in front you. Menu changes daily. A queue will form about 20mins before it opens for lunch.

pianostrada laboratorio di cucina

I forgot to remember the name. I will have to remember to remember soon.

Sadly I am not a big time baller (tm), and so there were no fittings with the homeless bearded tailor man.

Had a veri delicious meal at Flavio al velavevodetto.

... Delicious with a healthy dose of montepulciano d'abruzzo.

Also i purchased some guanciale which made a top top carbonara yesterday evening back in blighty.

How big of a bribe do you need to buy some guanciale for me and ship it back to the States?

Sorry, we always just refer to the place as le cave. It took me a minute to remember the actual name.

Their fresh made ricotta with flat bread is a fantastic way to start things off. We have enjoyed many a meal here without ever looking at the menu.

At the above restaurant I must also mention the fried courgette flowers which were a thing of unsurpassed beauty.
Magical.
Transcendent.

One of my favorite snacks! My uncles and grandfather would make these in the summertime. It was said to be good luck if you got one with a bee in it. I always disagreed.
