Are you that ugly? Or do you look like an accountant?

Very very nice. I might be in the minority but i don't care for 3-r-2 odd jackets. Prefer 3-R-2.5

Length could be a wee-bit shorter for a more jaunty ensemble but that is pernickety preference.

Wear in good health.

Actually, an ugly accountant.

Thanks much - I too am becoming more fond of 3-2.5. I have considered shortening future jackets. I do love how a longer jacket drapes though.

Pretty good overall, I agree. I think the skirt could hug the hips a little more, but that's just my opinion.

That is really nice, Newc. The fabric looks great and the cut, including the length, looks really clean and nice.

Like you, I like how a longer jacket drapes and so I prefer mine to be about the same length.

What's the fabric? It appears to have a bit of a herringbone pattern to the weave - is that right?

The fabric is Scabal - I have no other information about it though. It is out of stock now. It actually does not have any herringbone. It is a mid-sized barleycorn.

Very nice. I like the shape and the length. Prefer this one to your suit from Chris.

I think I prefer it as well. Much more comfortable, especially in the back. Comfort is criminally underrated, in my opinion.

Thank you much.

How do you guys actually visit your tailors? W&S for example is only open Mon-Fri from 9-5, and I'm not about to take half a day off just to visit them.

I find it very odd that a tailor, whose main clientele works from at least 9-5 mon-fri, isn't able to take evening/weekend appointments.

I guess most people here are senior enough to ditch "work" for a couple of hours without anybody noticing/caring.

Yeah, but shouldn't have to make that consideration. Imagine if you have measurements and 2 fittings. That means ditching work 3 times just because you want a new suit. No other business operates this way.

I don't really see the problem with that. Even the most junior banking slaves could to that. They'll think you are interviewing and you will get a yuge bonus. And for anybody else spending time on private appointments isn't really a problem, so why should a tailor care.

if you can't or won't find the time during their working hours to be fitted, find someone else or keep buying off the rack. Their business model seems to be working for them without having to accommodate worker bees who have no flex time.

The market is always moving! Imagine if you miss some big profit opportunity because you want a new suit.

Back in the days before strict security and all that tailors visited the offices to take measurements, so surely it must be worth their time!

I just find it silly that traveling Italians are the only ones willing to work on weekends or evenings.

If it was, they would be doing it despite security. Bottom line is, you will have to accommodate to their opening hours

While most tailors have rather limited opening hours I think most would accept visits beyond these. Although I only have limited experience, I assume they would be in there doing work anyways when they'e not open and could accomodate a fitting. At least when You have some sort of relationship with them and they know You're actually gonna use some money.

I usually visit mine before he opens and can still be at the office at 9.

Yeah, I told them I'm looking to commission a mid grey fresco suit, with a navy suit right after if that one comes out well, but would only be available after 6pm.

I'm usually in the office between 7am-7:30am.

I suppose it would be difficult to get any tailor to do a fitting at 6am. I suppose they're not open to doing fittings on Saturdays either? Have done this as well.

Yep, just Mon-Fri 9-5. Closed on weekends and bank holidays.

You're not their target clientele. Just stick with Eidos and clearance Corneliani.

They're a tailor offering made in India suits, cheapest on the row. If I'm not their target clientele who is?

I don't have Corneliani. I think you mistake me for Leitmotif Leitmotif

I take a few days off, travel, eat pasta, have a fitting or two, eat more pasta, pick up the order and select for the next time, buy booze in the airport, come back to work. Not a hard way to live.

I don't eat pasta
