Amazon has the best price, Seiya japan its not worth it, but get the clasp from them and a better leather strap. The other day I went to the Audemars boutique in Bal Harbor and the staff couldnt believe it was a Seiko lol.

Phillips are fine, so hard to get I have heard. My friends are into rolex, hublots, ap, pateks, and cartiers. One of them had a panerai, but when we all started telling him it was only for douchebags he sold it lol. Im the poor one lol.
 
Just tell him Foo likes Panerais, that should do it.

I'd also ditch any friends into Hublot. :truestory:

We're on the same page. From a normal person standpoint, its a "slightly more rich" than normal that's hitting the Hublot. The truly rich are going for the AP's.

Gruebel Forsey has cut the price of its entry-level watch by 50%, from 298 000 Swiss francs down to 150 000 Swiss francs.

I thought that this quote was amusing:

"It was a good idea also that we could decrease the price for being attentive to some clients who can't afford a watch of 300,000 francs," Bernard said in an interview at the Geneva watch salon. "Many can't even afford a 100,000-franc watch. They look at Greubel Forsey and say, 'No way, I can't afford it'."

Looks like the reduction in corruption-rich Chinese buying Swiss watches is causing a global slow-down in the industry. Perhaps this will result in a levelling-off, or even a reduction, in the ridiculous price rises that we've seen over the past decade.
