Is anyone using Bluesky? I'm starting to hear more about it. Rambo posts links from it.

I just didn't want to go from Twitter to some place that is completely driven by the left.

It’s becoming more popular but it’s VERY liberal at the moment. No real talk about Palestine. On the other hand, no Nazi’s or AI slop.

If Bluesky is to be the new Twitter, is there anyone trying to create an alternative to Facebook and Insta now that Meta has gone full Maga?

Copilot puts the guards on recent US political figures too...especially Trump, but I asked a few questions about Hillary that were innocuous and it gave a 'I don't want talk about this' response.

Plus it's 994B cheaper, so if you just accept some of the limitations features in the back of your mind, it's a steal.

what is this stupid lib shit? who cares about its specific output for these questions? ask chatGPT about palestine or the 6000 other atrocities that the US has committed. the use case for the app is to automate dumb bullshit tasks not to have a buddy to talk to.
LLMs can do some more things, but you are fully correct in that only retards would ask them factual questions.

But the reality is that people are increasingly using ChatGTP in place of Google, to aggregate answers into a single response.

I just used it to search for the best/most accurate blood pressure monitor for my mother. I don't want to figure out which sites are the authority on it. I have no clue what devices are on the market and which ones have flopped. I also don't know which medical association is more reputable when it comes to endorsing these devices.

It was one question, plus probing why I'm getting British medical association recommendations and I got a model to buy. This was versus browsing multiple sites and probably getting directed to Alibaba or some dodgy Indian retailer whilst trying to find a decent one. Then I wouldn't trust what I searched so I'd probably being going through X star out of Y star reviews on Amazon or if it comes up on Google just to double check against the general populace.

As long as I can understand it's 90% correct, I'm okay.

On the other hand calculating my capital gains tax I did myself (searching the government website, some other examples on the Internet). I used Copilot to double check and make a spreadsheet to see if it's similar to what I came up with, but it made some basic arithmetic error. In the end I will be using Turbotax so I hope the legion of offshore workers who program one product every year will give the definitive word on it.

You can't though.

DeepSeek is actually a lot better in this regard, because it provides you the chain of thought resp. the reasoning behind the answer (or so I'm told)
