Replace that tire. The others should be fine with such low mileage.

One that matches what you have. Put it on the right front, it will wear faster than the others.

talk to me about tires. i got a nail in my piece of shit bridgestone tires that came from the factory. it'll be the second one I've replaced, so since they ride awful anyway, i figure i'm throwing good money after bad. we bought some michelin premier's on the last camry and they were fair. handled well but noisy. any suggestions? consumer reports likes:

Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus[V]

Michelin Premier A/S [V]

ContinentalPureContact[H]

Continentals even though you see em in most cars nowadays are pure shit. My VW CC came with them and the performance in rain is pretty awful. They feel like bricks. On my acura I had michelin SS sport and some of the best tires that i ever had, but they are performance and very expensive 300 a tire. Right now I have the bridgestone potenza pole position S07 and beast tires. If you are looking for something affordable and good get the Hankook Ventus 7 I think is the name, also firestone makes some good tires that are very affordable. If you want something that can handle water well and are very quiet get the bridgestone turanza with serenity plus. Not the best, but definetely quiet tires and actually can handle ice very well.

I didn't know we had 2 car threads! What do you drive, Grand Potentate Grand Potentate ? You strike me as the sensible and boring type, so maybe something Toyota?

If I were American I'd be driving a challenger/camaro/mustang. Those things are dirt cheap over there. Maybe a corvette if you have some spare change.

I knew it!!

Very good taste! Americans have the best horsepower/$ ratio. The camaro also has a very respectable Nurburgring time. How long does your veedub take, if it can even finish a lap?
I actually updated the ecu and jt pumps out a bit more than 250hp, which might not sound a lot but I have raced against bmws (3 and 1 series) and some american muscle cars and i can beat them easily mostly because of the dsg and the car handling. Who care about nurburing lol

a new Toyota Camry. It's a flaming piece of shit.

I didn't realize you were a redneck.

Camaro ss: 450hp for $40k, 0-60 3.9sec
Camaro zl1: 640hp for $60k
Charger/challenger hellcat: 707hp for $60k
Now that's bang for your buck. In Europe these would cost well over 100k.

Park a lifted f150 SVT next to it and you're all set. Can drive over that little VW CC.

Sorry to hear that. You were kinda asking for it when you buy a car that's made for people who couldn't care less about cars.
No I really wasn't asking for it when I bought one of the most reliable and highly rated cars on the market.

Highly rated by people who have given up on life
there's a traffic light here every five fucking feet and cops give out speeding tickets like they're going out of style. at what point could i possibly take advantage of one of your supposedly highly rated vehicles? not to mention that they're all made by crap American car makers.

Just knowing that you have all that power is enough. Same as people driving Bugatti Veyrons in London. They'll never go over 50mph, but knowing that they can hit 250mph is enough.

If you want to drag race maybe. Those platforms are really not that great, if you tried to track a Hellcat you'd kill yourself in .03 seconds. Mustang and Corvette are by far better bang for the buck. Corvette is probably the best all time value in performance.

Get out of here with that pussy F150 shit. F350 or GTFO.

They make plenty of good cars. The new Fords are light years better than Toyota, which has totally lost their way.

Yeah, agreed. New corvette is an amazing car. £70-80k here though :(

The upside of being in London is that there's loads of used 2-10yr old super cars with low mileage for decent prices.

Have you ever driven a camaro? or any of those? I tested them and they were absolute pigs, heavy, woobly suspension, and so forth. Your ignorance is showing up. Better stay quiet now.

Which cars? Not the trucks.

Any of the new Ford lineup. Fantastic platforms. I hear the new Chevy's are better but I really have no experience, they certainly are getting better reviews. Dodge, is well, Dodge, so I make no claims about them. If you want to go fast in a straight line then they are ok I guess.

The Mustang definitely isn't shit. It's a very good platform too, they track the hell out of them in SCCA and NASA. Other than the 80's, the Mustang has always been a great value for performance. They don't have enough robustness to really take them up to the high horsepower range that Shelby does without heavy modification, but for their market they are very good.

which cars that are similar to the camry are any good? i'm not driving on a platform.

Grand Potentate Grand Potentate check out the General Altimax HP, Michelin Primacy MXV4
I was looking at the Primacy but there are two models - the MXV and the MXM. Can't really see what the difference is between them.
Do you have kids?
nope. just me and The Great Satan.

Lol at people liking 4 cylinder mustangs. Jesus christ
Did you hit your head? What's with all this common sense?

Well, you totally are. It effects everything from handling to tire wear and drive train reliability. The Euros and Japanese honed in on this years ago.

The problem right now is that Toyota is basically evolved into producing bloated American cars from the 90s, while the Americans are slimming down. Everything Yota is making is ginourmous and inefficient. Even the SUVs, which are land yachts. The Tacoma, which was the de facto efficiency mobile in the truck segment gets worse fuel economy than the new full size F150's. The Camry and Corolla have gotten huge.

I was a long time Toyota fan FWIW, my first car was an old Land Cruiser, and my mom had a Tercel when I was young.

The Ford Focus is a great car all around in that segment, and the Fusion for the next size up. I know several people who were deciding between the Fusion, Mercedes C Class, and BMW 3 series. That's how far Ford has come in their consumer range.

Mercedes C class and BMW 3 series are pretty bad. You are paying for the badge in the steering wheel, nothing else. The cost/benefit for those is pretty awful, specially when quality comes to the floor. 3 series are known for bad electronics and transmisions, C class for deficient electronics. I drove the new C class and the steering wheel felt like it didnt have power steering. Again, bloated cars for idiots who only care for brands ie mafoofan.

Anyone dumb enough to buy a Volkswagen is disqualified from ever speaking about vehicle electronics for the rest of their lives.
