Jersey City, NJ - A Jersey City police sergeant was accused of driving "highly intoxicated" in Robbinsville in January 2014, but was released without charges into the custody of Jersey City police and remains on the job.

The incident is documented in a dramatic video and multiple police reports obtained via a public-records request. The video, taken from the dashboard of one a Robbinsville police officer, shows one officer telling Sgt. Vincent Corso, the Jersey City cop, that he is too "f***** up" to drive, while just off camera there is an apparent struggle after the officers tell Corso they plan to confiscate his gun.

News of the traffic stop first surfaced two weeks ago when Robert Cowan, the former Jersey City police chief, cited the incident in a civil lawsuit he filed against the city, Mayor Steve Fulop and Public Safety Director James Shea.

Two police officers shown in a surveillance video beating a handcuffed man in a Las Cruces Police Department holding cell have been fired following an internal investigation, city officials announced Tuesday. Also Tuesday, 3rd Judicial District Attorney Mark D’Antonio announced he’s expecting to make a decision within the next two weeks about whether to pursue criminal charges against the officers, Richard P. Garcia and Danny Salcido, in the Dec. 23 incident.

A federal lawsuit by the arrested man — Ross Flynn, 47, of Las Cruces — against the city of Las Cruces remains pending, as do criminal charges against Flynn for the incident that led to his arrest. Video footage from the holding cell incident showed two officers shoving Flynn in the cell, slamming him against the walls and kneeing him. Garcia has been an officer with LCPD since August 2004, according to a city news release. Salcido has been with LCPD since September 2011. Both officers were assigned to administrative duties on March 4.

“The allegations against both officers were reviewed, and it was found that these officers violated internal policies and procedures which warranted their discharge from employment with the Las Cruces Police Department,” LCPD Chief Jaime Montoya said in a news release Tuesday.

Wow. Anytime I plan to beat someone I am holding against their will, I turn off the cameras. That's 101.

Cop asleep. At least he's not beating innocent civilians.

Does anyone have any idea what these detained and restrained guys are doing that is so unbearable that police feel the need to add more violence?
Some handcuffed idiot can yell about my mom being a whore all day long. I'll shoot spitballs at him or something. The lunkheads have no creativity. It's always straight to "let's beat this guy to a pulp."

The simple answer is very little. The cops in these videos are hair trigger to violence. They use their petty power to dominate the public.

what do you do when they break the window and pry it open. like with that one video of them dragging the poor fuck out while he was still belted in.

I meant the front door of your house, not a car. I didn't contextualize it.
