Disagreeable Menswear Post Of The Day

These are some of the top names in the tailoring scene, at pitti. I just don't know. Is it the awkward postures? The faces that don't match the clothes? (I'm not white, so I should know. Don't think I'm being racist.). There's something distinctly off about most of them.

Only one of those is good, the rest, this image is the best prove...

Funny but not disagreeable.

You bought it on Vestiaire du Renard? Certainly a french o'mast invented by Dyrnelly to resell his old stock of Canali unsuits and scam Spanish gents.

Yes I bought it there. It's hard to thrift by oneself in Spain, more so given my size. Moar details on that scam thing please? The suit does look bespoke...

I was joking. The Vestiaire du Renard is a young guy with a serious sourcing policy.

No idea on that tailor though?

No. Claude Rousseau and Feruch are considered as very good - dead - values on the respoke market but I've never heard about Chaumard. I never thrift, so I'm not the best to inform you. You should ask the guy of Le Vestiaire he'll certainly answer you. Sure you won't find anything on the Internet. These tailors ended their activities in the early 90's, long before the world collapses into a shit e-storm full of void.

No need to add the UN, just say Spanish tailor. The translation is now automatic with the Sarto dictionary. 66EU size? Strong shape is yours.

Its big on me. But I like the drapeyness in the chest. Will need to take in the body a big deal.
Vestiaire du Renard doesn't really size correctly though, this is not as big as a 66.. my actual chest measures 50 inches and the pit to pit in this suit is like some size 52 I have.
Anyways I'm not small, no

Please use the metric system for the measurements, only backward countries like the USA, Liberia and Myanmar still speak in inches.

Thrifting online is too risky. You should spare the money you waste buying 10 respoke suits and maybe you'll be able to invest into a Langatetange shirt.

Seriously, isn't there a valuable spanish bespoke offer on the market? What about Sastreria Serna?

Too expensive for me.
Online is not that risky if you can get the seller to measure some key points, most times you can also return.

I always find this kind of article amusing.
"How should a suit fit" and then some pictures of a too tight and short jacket, same with pants

The origins of the French narrow lapel, the shiny dark suits and the condomfit styleme is a story in itself. It's largely down to one man, Hedi Slimane, who should be hanged, drawn and quartered, and his ashes scattered to the four winds. But it's one of those impossible dreams. The French are a servile nation when it comes to style. If it imposed by someone up on the pedestal (like Slimane at Dior), they will follow it blindly.

It doesn't help that the art of tailoring has all but died out in France (so everyone wears ultra-expensive branded RTW).

Style aside, Slimane is a massive cnvt. Not a shred of masculinity. But then that's so typical of the damned French, who are spiritually gay.

Ololol! Imposed by someone up on the pederasty I'd say.
