As you're from the near same part of the world...how many dodgy characters have you met who knew The Beatles before they were famous, or left for London? Never met one once. You'd think there would be a whole industry in it. But there isn't.

I know a fair few people, all Scousers of my mothers age who say they met/knew members of The Beatles before they were famous and I generally believe them. Remember, pre-fame The Beatles played all over Liverpool, were house band in The Cavern and drank regularly in The Grapes and in the Phil.

I think because they went on to be a such a huge cultural phenomenon people tend to forget their humble beginnings as just four Liverpool lads who did good.

Watched the press conference with Carter on the installation of solar panels at the White House and how we'll be doing away with oil & gas pretty soon and then the other one, where he states the standards of living of the American masses needs to take a hit because of energy shortages. It could have been 2022, the ideology is slightly different, but the message is the same.
