Indeed, maseratti stop building good cars in the 70s. Lancia has always been the king of italian cars. Also, foxandhound strange you didnt post that Alfa Romeo GTV6. A great looking car with a beast of an engine.

I agree, but I was trying to post from 1990 onwards and I believe the GTV6 went out of production around 86 or 87, right?

Ha, I've driven that one. It's one of those cars that grows on you. Kinda like the simplicity and boxiness of its design now.

Arguably 90s cars will be the next to go up in value quite a bit, so would be a good investment. Wouldn't mind having a near mint condition 8 series for example.

In the 70's and 80's most European cars were designed by Pininfarina or Giugiaro.
But unlike today, the designers somehow managed to make each model kind of unique, which still makes them recognizable today.
The dreadful "trend" of copying successful car shapes started in the 90's.
I've always been fond of the way the Audis looked, until recently. I find the new front grill disgusting on some models.
