MLB 2025

Probably to the Yankees so you’ll be happy
Doubtful. He’s said in the past he hates the Yankees and would never sign with them. I’m pretty sure this is why the Yankees only signed Goldschmidt to a 1-yr contract though.

he kind of changed his tune more recently. had a talk with Vlad Sr. Willing to play for them.

Yankees getting rid of the no-beards policy.

I definitely think that asteroid is going to hit the Earth now.

Scott’s contract includes $21-million in deferred money and Hernandez’s $23.5-million.
Hernandez is owed a total of $32-million in deferred pay from the team. He already was due $8.5-million as part of his $23.5-million, one-year deal for 2024, to be paid in 10 equal installments each July 1 from 2030-39.
Los Angeles also owes deferred payments to two-way star Shohei Ohtani ($680-million from 2034-43), outfielder/infielder Mookie Betts ($115-million in salaries from 2033-44 and the final $5-million of his signing bonus payable from 2033-35), left-hander Blake Snell ($66-million from 2035-46), first baseman Freddie Freeman ($57-million from 2028-40), catcher Will Smith ($50-million from 2034-43) and utilityman Tommy Edman ($25-million from 2037-44).

We are broke in the 2030s but in the meantime we will win some World Series

You're making half a billion over the lifetime of the contract but the 4 seats and suite are important.

Apparently the Blue Jays won't have home field advantage at the Mariners.

Blue Jays can be first in AL East if they win against the Yankees tonight.

Sole possession of first place.. first time in nearly 10 years.

Toronto Blue Jays break 40-year franchise record for most consecutive home game wins

For the first time since 1992, the Toronto Blue Jays are the best team in baseball

The New York Yankees Are a $300 Million Disaster

They have a star-studded roster and a monster payroll, but the Yankees are in the midst of an epic free fall

Red Sox beat Blue Jays. The fight for playoff seeding continues.

I was reminded when frantically trying to plate Sunday family dinner tonight: Blue Jays win AL East.

Yankees vs. Sox primetime and we get stuck with Karl Ravech and Eduardo Perez. The worst booth team in the business.

doghouse doghouse you watching?

One of my boys is going to the game. He tried to get me to go but I am just so goddamn buried I couldn't even think about it

Meanwhile the Jays are playing themselves for $10/ticket. I thought they had injury issues limping into the postseason. Might be better to let people rest.

It's going to be a zoo in my neighbourhood this weekend. At least the transit people decided it would not be wise to do maintenance on the rail lines during the playoffs.

I am watching a neighbour on the 10th or 11th floor balcony across from me who put their TV outside. But the broadcast is about 30 seconds behind because we can hear the home run horns from the open stadium ahead of the broadcast. It's only the first game. What if it's a game 7 or the final?

So many honking cars you would have thought we won the entire series.

You are in the minority according to dodgy local "media":

"On MLB.com, about two-thirds of their writers said that the Yankees will prevail against the Blue Jays, despite being the lower seed.

A panel of five CBS Sports writers all unanimously picked the Yankees to beat the Jays, although all of their writers said the series would go to a decisive Game 5.

There wasn't much love for the Jays over at ESPN either. Their contributors pointed to the fact that the Yankees' run differential of +167 dwarfed the Jays' total of +77."
