This is awesome! What else would you recommend by him, never knew he existed until this evening.
He was in The Eagles with Don Henley. He died a couple of years ago. He also did the Heat is On which was used in Beverly Hills Cop.

As for recommendations I'm not that familiar with his solo work, As for his work with The Eagles well they don't really need recommendations as 2 of their albums are amongst the best selling albums ever.

The trouble is it stops for the day after about 6pm. There is nothing worth seeing within walking distance on the Birkenhead side and not even a decent place for a drink or a snack.

The song was used in Miami Vice and appears on the soundtrack album of the 1st series.
Always liked the use of U2's Wire in Miami Vice:

Glen Frey had bad arthritis and ulcerated colitis which led to pneumonia and his death at 67. Medication for ulcerated colitis will mess you up big time.

I think Don Henley's solo albums are stronger then Frey's with a couple of classics, including:

There's two ferries one that goes to Seacombe which has nothing but the West Float Dock to greet you and then Birkenhead proper. The best view is from the Wirral side looking over to Liverpool.

Nothing in Seacombe unless you walk up to The Ferry pub. Use to be good real ale there and view of the river. Also you get that strong cold wind that blows in off the North Sea and River Dee that rattles through the West Float Dock and nearly blows you over. It's grim mate.

As you say from Birkenhead, nothing within quick walking distance, except The Hamlet pub if its still going. You've got Birkenhead Park, but that's a good walk through what use to be quite run down areas. The heroin streets of Merseyside. The Liverpool mafia dumped all the skag in Birkenhead and the Blacon estate in Chester to keep their own streets relatively clean.

Merseybeat Sunset was the original title and lyrics:
