I don't really know how you can say that. The list of diseases obesity is linked to is pages long. What are you basing that belief on?
That cancer is much worse and much more unpredictable in treatment than all obesity related diseases put together. Heart disease has halved in it's mortality contribution since the 60's even in the face of rising obesity. Cancer has steadily pulled even in mortality and is going ahead at an alarming rate.
I obviously don't support obesity, and Americas fatness is laughably sad (though Mexico is burnishing our image a bit), but between obesity related disease and cancer it's not even a question.
Well I didn't say all, but there's a lot of data coming out linking the two, and the statistics on cancer follow the food processing revolution in the 1950's and 60's.Ok, fine. But where is the evidence that this is all directly caused by preservatives?
Food additives and contaminants
Many substances are added to foods to prolong shelf and storage life and to enhance color, flavor, and texture. The possible role of food additives in cancer risk is an area of great public interest.
....
Other compounds find their way into the food supply through agricultural use, animal farming, or food processing, even if their use is not directly intended for human consumption. Examples include growth hormones or antibiotics used in animal farming, small amounts of pesticides and herbicides in plant-based foods, and compounds such as bisphenol A (BPA) or phthalates that enter food from packaging. Some of these compounds are not known to directly cause cancer, but they may influence cancer risk in other ways – for example, by acting as hormone-like substances in the body.
Food processing
Food processing may also alter foods in ways that might affect cancer risk. An example is the refining of grains, which greatly lowers the amount of fiber and other compounds that may reduce cancer risk.
The processing of meat, by adding preservatives such as salt or sodium nitrite to prevent the growth of germs, or smoking the meat to preserve or enhance color and flavor, may add compounds that might increase the potential of these foods to cause cancer. Studies have linked eating large amounts of processed meats with an increased risk of colorectal cancer. This may be due to nitrites, which are added to many lunch meats, hams, hot dogs, and other processed meats.
Yes, endemic is more appropriate. It only will subside if insurance companies start denying reimbursement if health issues can be linked to fatness.
Knee reconstruction, maybe if you shed 150 lbs there Mrs. Jackson
The fat lobby isn't marching against anything, but insurance companies are still paying for every texter that cracks their car up so I'm not holding my breath waiting.I have my fucking fingers crossed.
They don't march, they power mobility aid with signs. The fat lobby isn't marching against anything, but insurance companies are still paying for every texter that cracks their car up so I'm not holding my breath waiting.
That guy from Windtalkers wasn't too big.
There is the school of thought that the massive farm subsidies cause the overreliance on corn in modern food products. Were the main ingredient in high fructose corn syrup not so cheap and plentiful, this whole scenario where crummy nutritionally deficient junk is readily available cheaper than real food might be less pronounced.

Indeed. The whole notion that corn syrup is worse than any other sugar is bullshit. It's the fact that its so cheap and easy to put into everything that makes it so damaging to health, not its properties as a substance.
The women of Unsoviet Russia must be emaciated. How do they do it?A PITY HE HAS THESE ANGLO FATWOMEN AROUND.
LOOK AT THEIR OBESE ARMS AND LEGS.

Our lives are much more sedentary. Much more. I'm viewed as a freak for walking three blocks to work. Or walking a mile to football, basketball, and baseball games. For 99% of the course of human history, we walked everywhere. Now, we barely walk anywhere and sit behind computer screens for half of our waking lives. We have obese men using riding lawnmowers or a gas-powered chainsaw to cut a sapling down. 400 pound people ride around on fucking scooters and we give them subsidies because they are "disabled". It's pathetic. The Eloi are already here.
All true until their mail ordered to the USA. Then it's Chick-Fil-A, get fat, unhappy husband, force the divorce. Get paid.
I want to send a PSA out to every university in America, telling every female that they're not doing themselves any favors whatsoever with the current trend of super-high-waisted-cutoff-jean-shorts. So much cellulite. So much jiggle. *shudder*
And it's like everyone. Literally no girl looks attractive in this.
I'm gonna have to disagree. For tight bodied coeds that shit is hawt.
