Products You Really Want but Can't Afford or Won't Splurge On

No that's the Pontiac G6 you're thinking of...
Is this for passenger use or do you want to put on a uniform and be your own pilot like Barbarino Travolta.

Fly myself? Hell no, this is to upgrade my hookers and blow carrying capacity.

I've always been of the opinion if you buy a car like a Rolls, you need to just go ahead and get a driver. It's a pretty douchey look to be driving your own land yacht.

Supposedly Rush Limbaugh drives his own Maybach, in a massive display of cluelessness.
I have a short, pleasant commute at the present, but a chauffeur would be something I'd want (along with a car of some luxury) were I forced to endure traffic or longer travel.

I drive about 100-125 miles a day. Not a commute but just around to all of our sites. I'd kill for a chauffeur.

I'd settle for a wheelbarrow ride, or even a Radio Flyer if I was wearing shorts.
Like riding Cleopatra style, this is even less comfortable than it looks. It's basically like sitting in a chair that's constantly kicked by a few rowdy kids three times a second.

Here you go, doghouse doghouse

This star-shaped yacht is perfect if you're a billionaire supervillain
STAR is a superyacht concept that will cost an estimated $500 million

  • We've written about quite a few luxurious and expensive watercraft over the years here at The Verge, but none as flashy as this: the STAR, a new concept for a superyacht measuring 433-feet long and nearly 200 feet high, was announced last month by the BMT Group. The idea for the yacht was first sketched out by a Russian advertising executive on a napkin and then fleshed-out by industrial designer Igor Lobanov, according to BMT. The two rising stars wanted to create something that would stand out from the sea of comparatively bland and boring superyachts around now. "Outside the marine industry, all yachts look the same: it seems that modern architecture, product design and car design have no influence on yachts," said Lobanov in a statement.

Not only is the STAR gigantic, with 37,700-square-feet of interior space, eight decks, four elevators, a helipad and a daytime capacity of 200 guests, but it would shoot across the water at a relatively zippy 18 knots. It's being marketed as a private yacht or hotel, and will cost an estimated $500 million, as Lobanov told Business Insider. The creators of the STAR get points from me for their sheer audacity, but I can't help but fault their STAR for not being actually star-shaped. Instead it's more of a curved triangle, with a long, gently bowed hull. It's true that in particularly clear waters, the reflection of the top part of the yacht would create the illusion of a four-pointed star sailing through the sky. Before you get too starry-eyed or starstruck or hitch your wagon to this particular STAR, know this: the design is still a concept for now and is just being assessed for technical feasibility. So any multi-billionaires out there who are interested in picking one up might do well to take the advice advice of Jiminy Cricket for now.

I could never understand why they can't just fix the Minnow, the damage doesn't look that bad and the fucking professor can rig something up in a jiffy that will help repair it. Fucking loser hippies, the lot of them.

Those are 2 pretty big holes. Since it's real, I'm sure that they would have fixed it if they could and ended the show.

Really, I could include the garden variety $12-20 wooden handled tooth brush in here, because I like them but ain't paying for them either. But damn, they look better that the cheap bright plastic stuff.
Does Floyd Mayweather have a Reinast toothbrush?

ah yes, the unnamed antibacterial coating and the uncited, unreferenced undata supporting the unclaim.

buy one of these, not as sexy but it is scientifically proven to reduce gingivitis. don't even need toothpaste. solar powered. titanium as a functional bacteria-killing component.

I'd really like an eames chair.

A real one - not the made in China knock off.

Actually, even though they're expensive, that would be a pretty good use of money, as they last well.

I've seen a few that are decades old and still fine - the leather's worn and you can see where people have held on while lowering themselves into the chair or getting up from the chair over the years, but despite the "patina" of years of use, the chair itself is still fine and will survive for another couple of decades.

If it lasts you 40 years, then the cost per year really isn't that much.
