is he saying i still owe him money? i paid him for what he delivered and he doesnt want to sell me the houndstooth at the price we agreed to. clearly the houndstooth is not in his possession otherwise he would have sent a picture just to show what nice fabric he is stocking. and frankly im a bit worried about his current relationship with barbera. can he still get hold of the houndstooth even if we would come to an agreement?

I only know he got fired twice (from Dugdale Bros. and then Huddersfieldcloth).
He was running the Dugdale website shop, but probably did some shady things, because shortly after, Dugdale announced that they parted.
I registered with Huddersfield cloth but when they fired Rian he then contacted me, using my registered details.
One day later I got another e-mail from HC telling me about the split.

The ties however...the length and width are spot on, the fabric again high quality but the build quality is subpar - in his defence I immediately messaged him and he has looked at the pictures and offered a exchange/rebuild - with that said I am still unhappy that these left the shop in such a state, out of four ties I am sending three back (see pictures).

I won't discredit him too much over the other 3 defective ones, but the fourth I am really happy with - pattern is well matched and central, hand rolled edging again rolled and not flat, point/end of tie is symmetrical, the drape is good and it feels weighted with the extra silk folds - I've opened it up and all the folds are there (as far as I can see) - overall a good quality hand made tie for a very reasonable price - if he sorts the rest out to my liking I will buy more.

See pics attached for the defective ties, just very poor quality control - pattern is off on some, there's holes where the needle has come through the front when the loop was being affixed. The hobsack one is completely off center, it's about 1.5cm longer on one angle/side which makes it look ridiculous. The striped has a stitch visible that's protuded from the hand rolled edge and the rear where the two sides meet is coming undone.

is there any fusing in these ties? rubber smell?
 
He probably messed up the knot of the thread reserve. Try to pull it a little, the seam should close. Still, shouldn't happen.

But what are your thoughts on the Sartodinapoli ties that turned out poorly that were posted today. Nice of him to offer to redo them but what went wrong?
