The All-Inclusive Shoe & Boot Thread

I'm not sure how I feel about Fok custom ordering a pair of this particular model/last in unknown leather and color.

Some of these have a very Mickey Mouse bulbous shape.

If the soles were darker I might seriously consider these although I don't know how distressed kangaroo looks irl:
I had a paid of kangaroo-skin motorcycle gloves and it's impressive stuff. It's very thin but something about the non-parallel alignment of fibers makes it very tough but buttery supple. Clearly it holds no shape worth a lick. I investigated kangaroo wallets, but it dawned on me how limp and floppy one would be and I lost interest.

I agree about the boots you quoted all M_Moria insane prices but he does make one or two sleeker lasts.

I'll probably have to custom order the Guidi in donkey which has a bit of sheen and holds much better structure than kangaroo.

I rather chop of my sausage over being a damn chilean! I'm Venezuelan which is worst, but we are famous for more things than eating guinea pigs

Oh man, I'm having one of my laugh till I can't breath moments. Y'all are too funny.

Those feet are pretty small:

The only place I know of in South America (or anywhere, really) where guinea pigs are commonly eaten is Peru, where they are called "cuy" and commonly eaten fried (as above) or roasted.

Fok is that you?

i would like to christen this the StC Buffet boot. A little bit of everything

What do you guys think of these? "this calf/suede combination adds a splash of dandy elegance to any attire"
Grand Potentate Grand Potentate is there any way I can make these pics smaller?

And to even out the negativity, I quite like these, but I guess chelsea boots are for wearing with jeans only?

I have no problem with calf/suede combos if they are monochromatic or at complement each other. It is the party on the upper, business down below that kills me. Like the mullet of shoes

That is a well know member from Oz who is generally well turned out. No idea what the boots are. Could be Chelseas

I prefer expresso or oxblood for suede/leather combo, characteristic but innocuous. The black pair above is decent, but not my cup of tea.

Chelsea boots/jeans only? Never heard of that before.

It's "gerry nelson" from StyleForum and I'd say that he's wearing a pair of RM Williams boots.

So the boots are sold that way with just a polished toe? If the contrast weren't so strong I'd probably want it myself.

Those Chelseas are far too sleek and the wrong bloody colour to wear with jeans - unless you are Donald Trump or David Cameron.

No not sold like that.

Gerry has just got carried away with the whole mirror polish stuff.

Why the wrong colour? They'd be for the evening, and who wears brown shoes at night?

Who wears jeans in a non super casual setting at night? Any way aren't you in UK - in winter theres no difference between day and night.

I can't abide by the jeans plus white shirt blue blazer (usually orphaned suit jacket) and dress shoes - especially black.

I'm not talking about winter. There are 9 other months in the year, remember?

Yes, that's an awful look. I generally wouldnt wear dress shirts with jeans anyways. Perhaps an OCBD, but that's it.

I meant more like dark jeans, black Chelseas, a white or grey t shirt and a black leather jacket. Quite a common look.

Save them to your computer then upload them as thumbnail attachments.

monkey - its probably just me but I don't like sleek black shoes /boots with jeans. I don't like black anything footwear with jeans and I don't like sleek with jeans. Its possibly just one of my crazy rules I have.
