Yes, but what magnificent ill-informed shit: ''...the Labour wipeout seems hard to fathom...the mean-spirited treatment of Corbyn and his followers...amidst bitter acrimony, one battle in what’s viewed internally as a war on Corbyn’s legacy...''
What legacy you might ask?
There's many reasons for Labour utter humiliation and defeat. Being mean-spirited to Corbyn's legacy is not one of them.
Amongst the many elements of their failure, including Starmer's lack of back bone, policy and charisma, etc, etc, is the unfortunate fact that Labour's party machinery and intelligenstia still believe the vast majority of the working class in the barren north are living in a Ken Loach film circa 1969 or in episode of Alan Bleasdale's Boys from the Blackstuff. And therefore can take their vote as a given, if not, they've failed the local Labour candidate being a bit thick and all that.
As my mother recently said on re-watching Kes, ''But nobody lives like that anymore...''
