Abdul El-Sayed Wins Michigan Senate Primary, Delivering Progressives a Major Battleground Victory

“Piker has faced criticism for past comments, including remarks that America deserved the Sept. 11 attacks that he later said he regretted. On the eve of the primary, El-Sayed once again campaigned with Piker, which Republicans pointed to as evidence of a broader ideological extremism.”

Who the fuck says something like that. 20 years ago during the war on terror you would have been water boarded for that.

On America's northern border, the threats are not unidirectional

"'It's really not that big of a problem for inbound,' said Lavarah Miller, a CBP watch commander on duty when CBC News toured a brand new American port of entry facility at the newly opened Gordie Howe International Bridge. 'A lot of the stuff that we actually get, we get a lot of it going out.'"

I'm your ally. No, I'm *your* ally.

“I am willing to do the consultation, I am willing to take the months of abuse, going to every nation, holding town halls like this, and letting them know that we are going to go forward with it,”

The only abuse is the rest of us listening to this rubbish at a time when the yanks are eager to drive a wedge through us.

It could be limited to a few things like trade and visas and security /forces treaties. We could be partner too. After all we are in Eurovision.

Europe goes on forever. Don't know how devolved powers are in Australia between federal and states but Canadian federal and its provinces is a whole lot of drama that I can't see EU putting up with.

It’s associate membership not full membership. You are warbling about things that are not in play, especially politics. Trade, defense, tech not seat in the EU parliament. They are not going to have to deal with traitors like Danielle Smith.

I was humouring fxh on how European we could be. But of course I know we wouldn’t be running away from being absorbed as the 52nd state to another supranational hegemony.

As for Premier Smith, the separatists expect a win regardless of the polls.

“On this Canada Day, I hope this is the last year Alberta is part of Canada.”

"New oil pipelines could be built to the Pacific that would travel through Washington state, evading the politically hostile terrain of British Columbia. The loonie holdings of Albertans could be converted at par into American greenbacks, perhaps paid for by offering the U.S. a royalty on Alberta crude, or even a slice of Alberta’s land for a railroad to Alaska. Other repayment deals could be struck with the White House by offering Alberta resources in agriculture, forestry, mining and precious metals.

An independent Alberta could even offer fresh water to the U.S."

That's all you needed to secede? 30 more cents on your dollar for each US dollar?

"The 45-year-old son of the disgraced former president, Jair Bolsonaro, had won 47%, meaning he will now face a 25 October showdown with his 80-year-old rival. Lula received 45.1%. Bolsonaro received 56.1m votes to Lula’s 53.8m."

Bolsonaro Jr!
