The SF/AAAC/FNB trainwreck thread

Sicilian tailoring constitutes a third school of bespoke tailoring distinct from the two other well-known options - Savile Row and Naples. In a nutshell, Savile Row embodies sobriety and discretion in a jacket while Naples embodies exuberance (i.e. less structure). As a matter of attitude, Sicilian tailoring is more reserved than Naples but “smiles” a bit more than London. The result is a subtly different shape and silhouette of the Sicilian jacket and pants compared to their more familiar counterparts.

I see they've resorted to The Idiot's Guide To Copywriting there. Suitably woolly, no meaningful reference to the stylistic motifs of the Sicilian school of bespoke tailoring. Perhaps we will find that island of extreme poverty and corruption offers a third path, for those who have grown weary of the Row and the maestros of old Napoli.

The sad part is if Tibor threw away that fucking stupid hat, ditched the silly carnation and dumped the briefcase in a street garbage bin - the rest would look OK.
The suit fits pretty well.
The trouble is with his clothing is that there is no context. He's not a bloke who needs to wear a suit and conversely he isn't a bloke who can wear a suit with a certain degree of relaxed carelessness and confidence.

Plus he says shit like PRO TIP.

I had no idea I was mocking a member of SF royalty. But really, it looks like he was some weird kid that got a charity invite to some girl's "flapper party" and then went out, did hours of meticulous research and came up with that costume. If you wore that get-up to any presentation for work, you'd get laughed out of the building.

GET WITH THE PROGRAM! WE ALL AGREE! THOSE WORDS ARE FROM THE CLOWN IN THE HAT HIMSELF!

Please oh please tell me this guy actually talks that way on SF. That might be a reason to wade back into that shit show. Just to fuck with him

He did. I score it a top five all time post. He came over to FNB about that time to talk tough when the pile on began.

Yes. His wife leaves him for months (not sure why) and so he's stuck in his apartment alone and bored as hell so he picks fights with pretty much everyone and has been a j@ck@ss from the beginning.

It's just boring. Like what the "edgy" and "rebellious" sidekick would wear in Dead Poet's Society or that Brendan Fraser movie at a prep school with Matt Damon as the antisemitic bully. (School Ties?)

Looked, and it was School Ties. Fraser, Affleck, Chris O'Donnell, and Matt Damon. Along with Cole Hauser, Anthony Rapp, and Kevin Tighe.

Cole Hauser, now that's a throwback. He will always be Benny from Dazed and Confused to me.

Anyone know what happened to SF's Deutchlander Don Cologne? He used to post every freaking day.

It all go seriously wrong from the first golden blazer button down.
It would not be immodest to suggest that Lord Buckley Lord Buckley and myself know a lot about "Ivy" dressing. That caustic bloke has been posting on CCs FB for a while now and he never manages to make Ivy look like it should - relaxed, sharp, casual/smart not uptight.

That's because he does not have a cord suit with ancient spastic thirst.

I can vouch for you and our dear Lord's credentials.

I haven't logged in to StyleForum since the upgrade. Today I did. Then I got an "Is Moving Up" and I'm alive trophy. Below that someone liked my 2009 post on various fish you can eat, which was healthier and my opinion on tuna in a tin can.
