The SF/AAAC/FNB trainwreck thread

Lots of illegal migrants working in NY sweat shops. Good for profit. It says "Made in America", not made by Americans.
You the smart man.
I thought ICE had caught all of them but how wong I am.

The next best thing to illegal immigrants are the INTERNS who will do whatever you ask of them while you pay them nothing or next to nothing.

Why does he have to be in NYC? I couldn't careless about his business. I was not speaking to his small shop but was just thinking in terms of a large corporation.

At any rate, why don't I start my own business? Because I am stupid and don't have the passion. Checking the books? Keep thinking that's what I do.

How about you start your own investment firm? Or are you too good for that? What is it that you do exactly? I believe you were a legalized gambler on Wall St. who for some reason went across the Atlantic. I wonder why you didn't stay in NYC?

Do you even make anything close to what Foo makes?

Um, NYC is the heart of the schmata industry. He can take the subway to check on how things are progressing in the sweat shop.

Try again, bud.

Told you I was dumb. We shall see how the brand does. I look forward to seeing his special edition shirt: quited with washed up jeans.

Just set up a CCTV system in the shop and check from your home. Those who don't work enough get a little whiplash from the foreman. The latter works very well in India and Bangladesh and similar places.

Who is flying the drones? You business plan includes drone pilots?
I saw a middle school kid fly one. You're thinking the drones that take out ISIS and I am thinking the drones with GoPro cams. You think big and I think small. Just like your penis is big and mine is small.

I DON'T FOLLOW HIM LIKE YOU DO, YOU LITERATE MANGO!!!

No wonder you get into so many arguments on forums.

Fck! Yellow Hook?! I checked out their website when shopping for a tie but couldn't find anything decent.

So he can fly his toy drone with go pro from his house on Staten Island to the garment district? What is the range of one of those things? Sorry. Google Maps does not have an ETA for drones.

Yes it's like how the Japs think of the Koreans.
There are enough places in NYC to cut & sew. So no China-made.

Plus he gets bespoke from Ercoles not RTW from ZootZupply™

Please to hate on him for being a tatted-up, wannabe best-dressed-Foo-failure and maker of Mad-in-USA schmata for igents.

He used to post pictures regularly. Every new fad seemed to feature - fabric flowers for buttonholes etc.

For a schoolteacher, he lacked gravitas but the teaching profession has changed anyway.

He always looked cheerful and though he was too fashion-driven for my taste I could not understand why he drew so much criticism.

The business has been going a while now so I assume there is some market for his stuff.

Yellow Hook Shirts Review

My grandfather grew up in New Jersey, the son of Ukrainian Jews who’d emigrated to escape prosecution and worse and found a new life running a grocery store in the city. Until he died and my grandmother moved to a smaller house, my family and our collected relations would converge upon my father’s rambling ancestral home with a sort of semi-irregularity dictated by holidays and the globe-hopping travel schedules of my always-moving grandparents.

My grandfather, a man of whom I have fond but few distinct memories, had a study that I found fascinating, decorated with objects he’d collected from innumerable journeys abroad, smelling of – retrospectively, at least – a combination of cologne, pipe smoke, and mothballs. It’s that smell – as indistinct and hazy as it may be now, sixteen years after his death – that I most associate with him. It followed him when he came to visit our family, followed him when we joined my grandparents for a family reunion in the South of France one year, and was as much a part of him as anything else he was.

You gotta' hand it to him, that's fantastic heritage branding ad copy, you've got it all going on. A cross between the jet-set and Fiddler On The Roof.

Dickhead complains about being on numerous waitlists for a Rolex for 18 months, then when he finally gets the watch puts it up for sale...

So this happened yesterday.
Went to try it on and see how it felt and wound up realizing I needed it. They actually had one in stock that they got in that day and hadn't told the person on their wait list about it. Liked it more than the Sub ND. You all were right, the Cyclops is really not that big of a deal, only thing that bothers me slightly is the polished bracelet. I like the brushed look of the Sub.

Which dealer? I've been on about 8 waitlists for 18+ months.

I prefer the look of an IWC Port or something similar. I find that Rolex to be horribly ugly. But what do I know, I am just a poor man with a Tag Heuer Links. FML

His missus probably found out!

One thing that I find disgusting with StyleForum is their unwillingness to accept people who have and voice different opinions. They just ban them for good and then you're left with exactly what you want. A ship full of people who all think alike and dress a like. Maybe that's why it is not a fun place to be anymore.

and in the meantime we are stuck with you

You got banned again?

I couldn't decide where to put this, but Manton will always be an idiotic SF member with absolutely no concept of style or even his own ineptness, so it's going here.

I got banned like Armstrong got banned from cycling.

Too easy to get banned from that place. I got banned once after talking about the pitfalls of goodyear welted shoes and providing evidence of it from industry sources...quite a decent post, but l made the mistake of telling them to use their common sense, so off came my head.

Not sure what this has to do with M. but bear in mind I don't understand how Twitter works / how it is formatted.
