I miss the days when only tough guys and navy men had them. Even the guys with lots of tatts say too many people have them and it is not special anymore.
And back on those days the ‘artists’ weren’t as talented and severely limited by the inks and equipment. It’s an entirely different art form these days - not just dodgy anchors, hearts, swastikas and skulls. Hence you see middle class women getting stunning watercolors and delicate floral pieces.I miss the days when only tough guys and navy men had them. Were you under the impression that people get tattoos to “be special”?
Idk. You said “it’s not special anymore”No, nothing of the sort. Why would people get tatts to be special?? Sorry, hard to explain it properly.
Righteous ink. Any reason other than just the beauty of Haida art? I have a buddy on Haida Gwaii who does ink and carves masks. He's does a lot of Haida-style designs. He did some wicked ones on himself. He's not always sober. I have masks from him.
