The War With ISIS/ISIL

^ All the time and various enquiries by Congressional Republicans spent on investigating Hillary Clinton about Benghazi, but I'm willing to bet that none of them will utter a peep about that.

She lied about being under fire when she was retreating to her marine helicopter. Oh wait she wasn’t under fire. There wasn’t a helicopter. She left on a normal government jet.

"It plans to resettle more than three million Syrian refugees currently in Turkey within the zone - many of whom are not Kurds. Critics have warned this could lead to ethnic cleansing of the local Kurdish population."

Can someone explain how this is any different than rounding up a bunch of people of a certain race or creed and sticking them in an artificially defined ghetto?

"Trump suggested Wednesday that the PKK was a greater terror threat than the ISIS group, and he welcomed the efforts of Russia and the Bashar al-Assad government to fill the void left after he ordered the removal of nearly all U.S. troops from Syria amid a Turkish assault on the Kurds.

'Syria may have some help with Russia, and that's fine,' Trump said. 'They've got a lot of sand over there. So, there's a lot of sand that they can play with.'

He added: 'Let them fight their own wars.'"

The war is over. Wait - what about thousand plus ISIS who escaped because Turkey wanted a 30km buffer zone?

Turkey Syria offensive: Russia deploys troops to border

"At noon, Russian and Syrian forces were to move in to oversee the Kurdish pullback in an area from the Euphrates, just east of the city of Manbij, right up to the Iraqi border in the east."

Russians, Turks, Syrians, Kurds, what remains of the US and 1,000 ISIS escapees running around. It's like the United Nations in that area.

"Russia stationed troops near the border over concerns that Syria's territory was being encroached upon by a foreign power."

Let's understand this. The Russians are in because they are looking after the Syrians. The Syrians are in because they are looking after the Kurds. The Turkish are in because they are looking after themselves. The US is moving off to Iraq because they are looking after the Iraqis.

“A convoy of U.S. military vehicles has crossed the border from Iraq and made its way across northeastern Syria in an effort to prevent oil fields from falling into the hands of ISIS, NBC News has confirmed. The U.S. has begun reinforcing its positions in the Deir ez-Zor region in coordination with its partners in the Kurdish-led Syrian Defense Forces and with additional military assets to prevent oil fields from coming under the control of ISIS or other destabilizing actors, according to a U.S. defense official.”

I thought ISIS was defeated? They can take over oil fields?

The caliphate kaput... Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi kaput... ISIS kaput...

"The world's most-wanted terrorist had taunted the Americans in a September audio message proving he was still at large, six years after the U.S. began hunting him. But now, thanks in part to information from the same Syrian Kurdish allies Trump is accused of abandoning, U.S. analysts believed they had found him."

Good thing the US didn't piss them off completely...

"al-Baghdadi died like a dog, he died like a coward. He was whimpering, screaming, and crying. Frankly I think it is something that should be brought out so his followers and all of these young kids that want to leave the various countries, including the United States, they should see how he died. He did not die a hero, he died a coward. Crying, whimpering, and screaming and bringing three kids with him to death."

He was whimpering and crying yet unlike Gaddafi used his suicide vest...embellishment?

I'm all for Hitler, Stalin and Jim Jones types going out exposed and humiliated before the gods and their acolytes. Some of the MSM reporting is again, very contradictory and a betrayal of the evil that Baghadi truly was. They should go out whimpering, crying and screaming as the long dark shadow of their evil failure crushes them. Or are we to pretend that the buggering of Gaddafi ala Clinton style was morally superior?

are you attempting to conflate the stature of baghdadi to any of these other historical figures? jones, maybe, ok i could see. but the others?

The intent was to be surpass or at least equal those figures. The crimes of the Islamic State are warnings of what would come in the global Caliphate.

"Bearded men shout 'Allahu Akbar [God is the Greatest]'. One captures the scene on his smartphone and says: 'We are mujahedeen [holy warriors] from Faylaq Al-Majd [Glory Corps] battalion.' In the background are the corpses of Kurdish fighters.

Further away, a group of men plant their feet on a woman's bloodied body. One says she is a 'whore'.

The video was filmed on 21 October in northern Syria. The woman beneath the fighters' feet is Amara Renas, a member of an all-woman unit of Kurdish fighters, the YPJ, a force that played a significant role in defeating IS in Syria.

In one, an unidentified fighter shouts in Arabic: 'We have come to behead you infidels and apostates!'

In another video, a masked rebel clad in black carries a terrified woman surrounded by other rebels - one films her, one shouts 'pig', another says: 'Take her to be beheaded.'"

Men screaming Allahu Akbar, beheading people and attacking whores. Oh wait, it's not ISIS. It's Turkey.

ISKP (ISIS based in Afghanistan) have released GoPro footage of the Moscow attack killing 130+

The four guys are seen shooting the injured and torturing them. They look to be untrained but bloodthirsty enough.

The dude who had his ear cut off by the Russian security services after being captured near the Belarusian border seems to have been the main shooter.

Russian SOBR running an electrical current to one of the attackers (not the guy they cut the ear off and then fed it to him) balls. Seems like it was more for show than any real interrogation purposes

Anything outside Russian propaganda linking ISIS to Ukraine? I’ll wait.
Just the usual reputable sources. I won’t bother lest this turn into a belinmad part deux.

Just ask yourself why now after such a long period of silence? Why this place?

Islamist extremist groups like ISIS-K have long-standing grievances against Moscow dating back to the Soviet war in Afghanistan in the 1980s, as well as the Russian Federation’s brutal counterinsurgency campaigns in Chechnya and the North Caucasus in the 1990s and 2000s and its support for Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria. More recently, ISIS-K carried out a suicide attack targeting the Russian embassy in Kabul in 2022.

"In a separate development, Turkey said it had arrested 147 people suspected of links to IS in simultaneous raids across 30 cities. Ankara has confirmed that two of the four suspected attackers visited Turkey weeks before the Moscow attack and said they were able to travel freely there as there was no warrant for their arrest."

....Let's just use this opportunity to round up all the suspected terrorists we have been monitoring. Any bets Kurds are amongst the 147?

FSB just paraded the ISIS terrorists on TV to ‘confess’ to being sponsored by Ukraine 🤡

“Trump in his statement on Saturday also took a swipe at the former administration, stating the US military had targeted this particular IS planner for years, but accused Joe Biden ‘and his cronies’ of not acting quickly enough ‘to get the job done. I did!’”

Is this a Bay of Pigs leftover from the Biden administration?
