not necessarily. often airlines will sell unbooked seats for cheaper. you can look at Spirit to go to Cancun. its only a 2 hour flight I'm sure you guys can grin and bear it.
Yeh, I’m seeing decent prices all over the place. Maybe she just doesn’t want to go to Mexico 🤷

My youngest is obsessed with theatre, so we are taking her to a couple of Broadway shows in NYC over thanksgiving. I might take a quick detour to visit a filming location:

My last vacation was to New York and I ate (well, I tolerated) Sardi's and the Grand Central Oyster Bar because of Mad Men.

Long-shot here: but anything special in Louisville Kentucky, outside of the tourist guide crap?

Flying to NYC for the weekend, with the fam. Mostly going for Broadway show (booked), but if anyone wants to add some must-see/do kid-friendly things bro the agenda I’ll take rec’s!

I don't think they're considered must-see, but probably kid friendly and near the Theater District: the M&M store and Hershey store.

Near MoMa/5th Ave (if you go), there's also a Lego store and FAO Schwarz.

The city has so much it's hard to pick out must-sees. The museums are nice if that's your taste. Central Park and Little Island (and Gansevoort Beach) are nice but it's getting cold now. I think personally I seek out notably things near where I need to be since there tends to usually be something.

Most notable thing outside the Broadway shows near the Theater District is (unfortunately) Times Square. But a little east are Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center which could be good resting spots in the middle of the city.

Thanks! We went for an around Central Park today and will check out the view from Rockefeller as well as the Xmas market at Bryant Park. Seeing Six tonight and I think my youngest really wants to go to the Icecream Museum tomorrow

I think the ice skating rink should be out at Rockefeller so you can check that out too. Never heard of the ice cream museum, but keeping the kids happy always helps. If you go downtown (below 14 st) you're bound to stumble onto a few ice cream or gelato shops. Not kid friendly per se, but there was some place that fed you ice cream through a glory hole in the Lower East Side...

Next up: heading to Maui for a week over Xmas with the fam. It will be my first time there. We have flights, an car and a hotel booked, but that’s it. What do we need to book/ get tickets in advance for?
