Aboriginal women are murdered and/or go missing at a higher rate than the rest of the Canadian population but still only represent about 16% of all missing/murdered Canadian women. Aboriginal groups are demanding a formal inquiry to point blame at Whitey for the killings.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say and inquiry is not necessary as the root causes are known. They also stated that 7 out of 10 Aboriginal women are killed by Aboriginal men, usually family members.
They are now being accused of racism for stating this fact and Aboriginal groups and bleeding heart Whiteys are demanding apologies. The RCMP should not have only talked about aboriginal men and aboriginal family members. They should have mentioned all cultural groups like Getman Canadians, French Canadians, Turkish Canadians in an exhaustive list. Please note that none of these groups are demanding answers as to why females of their culture might be murdered or missing.
Lesson: be careful when you agree to provide aggrieved groups with the data they demand as if they don't like the facts and figures you will be in trouble.
